works well, recommended
Ability to change from horizontal to vertical. Strong motor, you really have to press hard to slow it at all.

Something to consider
The sander arrived on time, not used it much yet but it feels sturdy and efficient, easy to assemble, couple of points to note, the 6" round sanding disc is self adhesive not hook and loop, the instructions recommend buying adhesive remover to replace with a new disc. Also the dust port is 60mm wide not been able to connect my vacuum to it

Perfect for DIY use
I ordered this item after looking at the previous reviews. The sander is a compact, solid item which at £109 incl. 20% VAT and delivery represents great value. None of the defects others have mentioned are apparent. The sanding disc is true and the belt runs true. The machine is quiet in operation and no noticeable slowing of the motor happens. The sander also arrived a day before advertised. Very happy with this purchase.

Solid and durable Von Haus
Always buy a model with a cast iron base, you need the weight for stability. The adjustable table for all these sanders are rubbish, as far too flimsy, but actually not a problem, as can be used without. Decently powerful motor, that doesn't stall under pressure is excellent.
