Goat Simulator 3 - PlayStation 5

What's not to love about Goat Simulator 3? It's awesome. It's perhaps even more ridiculous than it sounds. I was pleasantly surprised it was not a SIMS style game about raising, feeding, and caring for goats. Instead, it's a raucous mess of a game where you navigate your goat around an small city, butting, bashing and crashing your way to goat superiority over the human inhabitants. The goats and people don't get along, so there's some cartoon'ish violence, just to be clear. The physics are really realistic, and there are numerous challenges for multiplayer mayhem: think Capture the Flag, King of the Mountain, Floor is Lava...filling with lava... You can run split screen with two players, which is fantastic. There are far too few PS5 titles with split screen fun for kids and parents to play together. My 11 year old and I have a great time running amok as Team Goat, trying the challenges and stealing delivery vans to crash into the harbor. Mild violence. Lots of slapstick mayhem, some fun teamwork and zero thought-provoking or educational content. Just the way I like to goat.

Is this a game with the amazing graphics that will push your skills to the limit?No, but it is a fun and charming game even with its moments of crassness. It’s the right amount of challenging and “head empty” game play. A fever dream of a game that I hope they continue to make more of.

Bought this while it was on sale because I figured my 8 year old would enjoy it on my system and boy DOES HE. Endless hooting and hollering at the nonsensical nonsense you engage in.He’s always in my room hogging the ps5 standing right in the middle of the floor on it. And when my youngest brother comes over it’s twice as loud with laughter. I admit I cackle at what they get up to also. 10/10!
