Good brush, but sheds
June 2020:Pro: The handle is very comfortable The bristles are not soft, more hard/medium. Bristles get softer with time. Teeth feel well brushed.Con: The bristles shed and spread out early. It seems that the bristles won't last long. This is my first time using a Boar Bristles, so I'm not sure if this is normal.April: 2021:I have used all of the brushes. The pack lasted me 10 months. I changed the brush about every 2 months, instead of the plastic 3 month because the bristles do wear down more than the plastic alternative. This should be expected: it is made of hair, not plastic. Each new brush does shed during the first use, but considering that the product is biodegradable and prevents yet another plastic brush entering the landfill, it's worth a couple hairs in my mouth. Honestly, some brushes shed one hair and others shed four. It's a minor nuisance. I purchased another pack and plan to use them moving forward because they are good quality. As far as I know, this is the only toothbrush that is completely compostable.Note: I went to the dentist last month and was praised for my oral health. Prior to the boar brushed, I used a cheap electric toothbrush. I've always taken care of my teeth, but this was one of the few times I was complemented by a dental professional. These brushes paired with eco friendly floss have helped me maintain my oral health just as well (if not better) than plastic products.

Nice product, plesently surprised
I like these toothbrushes, they are "cool" because they haven't fell apart and they have softened up a bit. I think I've been using them about a month now. Only a few bristles fell out. Not anything to really mention but for what it's worth it no biggie. By not using plastic. It's a win win. Im excited about it, and I would like to gift this to some folks, but who knows if they understand about microplastics. I understand, and there's my review. Good stuff.

Try these brushes
Nice brushes. I like the packaging they come in. Yes, some bristles will fall out the first few times you use it, but its since stopped for me. I was concerned these boar bristles would be too stiff and that horse hair might be a better choice, but these ones are plenty soft for me, while still feeling effective.

A real eco-friendly toothbrush!!
These are great! They took a little getting used to - not your standard toothbrush experience.Pros:- Clean teeth really well- Toothpaste lathers like crazy, so less toothpaste can be used- Bristles feel really nice after being softened with a little water... especially nice on the gums- Totally plastic free, meaning no synthetic bristles!Cons:- Learning curve in terms of keeping clean (I always rinse thoroughly and dry off with a washcloth)- Shipped in plastic bubble mailer- Bristles occasionally come loose (this improves significantly after the third use)- Has a smell... a very wooden smell! Takes a bit getting used to.Overall: I love these. The pros outweigh the cons and now that I’ve used them for some time now, I’ll be sticking with them! No more tiny nylon bristles and my teeth and gums feel great!!

Bristles fall out everytime into my mouth when brushing.
1 star for exposureGuys, the bristles fall out, I tried all 6 brushes. Every time bristles in my mouth. Stuck on the back of my tongue making me gag trying to scrap them off my tongue to get them out. Washed out my mouth for 10 minutes making sure I get them all out.Tried soaking the brush in warm water as directed first. Nothing mattered. This might be the best company in the world, maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad batch. Just the anxiety of accidentally swallowing a bristle is not worth it to me. Like, literally every time bristles came out, even if I gently used the brush just on the exterior of my teeth. Thanks for trying to make an all natural brush.

Work but lose bristles
I think they are ecologically ok and do a good job on the teeth but bristles keep falling out which annoys the crap out of me.

Great plastic free toothbrushes
Really like these toothbrushes. Went through a whole pack and the bristles only came off of a few of them, and even then it didn't bother me, and was mostly in the first couple of uses. It's hard to remember not to press too hard, otherwise they get worn out and splayed faster, but I really like them. My teeth and gums seems healthier since using them and I love the idea that fewer microplastics are entering my system. At first, my gums bled a little with use (but are very sensitive) but now hardly bleed from anything (like flossing-- although I have also been flossing more), meaning they've gotten more resilient through the use of these. I hope they're biodegradable because I've been composting them

No turning back! These are here to stay.
This is my very first time buying natural toothbrushes. I am very pleased with the quality. The brush is easy to handle, the bristles are not too hard and actually help with the "how to brush recommendation so that they fit under the gums when brushing". I know this because my dentist showed me how to do it properly. it's a great value for the money and these last longer then their plastic counterparts. it's well package and the set comes with enough brushes to last you a long time. I would say to go easy on the brushing though until you get used to it.
