Workhorse
The media could not be loaded. I purchased an estate fountain June 2019 and this exact model pump came with it. I run it 24-hours a day for 9-months a year here in coastal SE. In April 2020 I thought I’d better have a “backup” ready to go when the first pump dies, so I ordered another identical pump from Danner. Again, that was April 2020. That second pump is still sitting in the box it came in, unopened!! My first pump is still trucking along, 9-months a year, 24-hours a day!! Im fairly good about cleaning the water manually of debris and leaves shooting to do once a week. But sometimes it goes 3-weeks before I can clean. All in an attempt to preserve the first pump but man it is still going!! So it appears my first pump is cruising to a 4-year life span, and maybe longer if it survives past June 2023! Full Disclosure: when I received my second pump I did take out the filter screen sponge thing and have swapped it out with my original one, so as to alternate them. Every week or two I put the cleaned dried one in and clean the other. That probably helps the wear and tear but still this pump is a workhorse!! Highly recommend.

Good inline pump, made in CHINA
Using inline as a replacement pump for an Intex pure spa. Noise level is acceptable and it's working as advertised. Provides better flow than the pump that came with the spa. Completely satisfied.Product description does not claim made in USA, but at least one review here makes that claim. This is not made in the USA, per the box (see pic).I'll update on longevity and whether or not this thing melts when used inline, as another review stated.UPDATE 8/24/2021: This pump outlasted the spa (inflatable). While no longer in use, this pump worked well for a year.--javasnow

Poor quality, should only be used submerged in water.
When I got this pump and started using it, I noticed it was a bit noisy and thought that there were just air bubbles coming through. But then the noise didn't stop and water was pumping fine.Next issue is that there was a leak around the impeller cover near the outlet. So I took it apart and inspected the O-Ring and made sure there wasn't any debris or tears in the O-Ring; it was fine. I put it back together and two of the holes/nubs that the screws go into broke off and so now it's completely useless since I can no longer get a good, tight, seal around the impeller cover..Overall, this product is very poor quality and should be avoided.

Worked great for about 5 months
This pump worked great when I first purchased it. Little loud but not a problem since it's for an out door small koi pond . The pump only lasted 5 months not working any more. My last pump lasted 3 years it was the same pump .when it did work it had great pressure pushing 300 gallons of water through an out side filter . The pump is submerged in water. I purchased the supreme classic model 5 500 gph magnetic drive . It has a max shut off of 10.5 ft 1/2 " fpt 1/2" mpt outlet . Had to change my original review on the product . Hope this helps

Powerful & Sturdy
I know they want a detailed review, but there's not a lot to say about a pump. The last one I had lasted many years and this one seems to be equally sturdy. Worked like a charm from the first moment it was plugged in.

Since 2014 this pump running
I purchased this pump in 2014 and I believe replaced the impeller once. It is still running and I have loved this pump.

Reliable pump
Love the danner brand...will continue to buy products from them. This particular model works well and has a decent enough flow for a 60 gallon I have, but have upgraded and bought two additional Danners - model 9 and model 7. Buy with confidence, the best in the business in my opinion. Overall A.

Life span not great
This is my 3rd pump in about 6 years. Last Danner mag drive pump I had lasted only 2 years and I bought this one to replace it. I don't abuse them, I take them out of the pond every winter, clean and store them in my basement. With the last one, I simply lifted it out of the pond to clean the filter. Put the cleaned filter back on, placed it back in the pond and nothing... Looked inside and the mag drive had come loose. Same issues happened with the Danner pump I had before that one.
