I thought they would have extra support in the ankle area.

I got this for my wife when her ankle was bothering her and starting to swell some, due to being on her feet for a long periods of time. When she wore it the first day of being on her feet for most of the day, she said it helps a lot. It was comfortable enough for her to do her job. The only thing she did notice, was it did start to get a little uncomfortable towards the end of the day. Her ankle still would swell some after 8-10 hours. But not near as bad as before and she was able to stand most of the day. Not perfect, but way better than nothing. We can easily recommend it.

I broke my ankle five ways. Two years later it still sometimes randomly sells up. This sleeve is the answer. I've spent so much money ordering so many compression socks. Some others are thinner and work better with shoes. But this is hands down the most comfortable and effective.

Ok for vein support or light swelling but beyond that, like ankle, bone, tendon or muscle the sock is weak and doesn’t have enough density.

I love the support it provides for my ankles when I dance.

These are very mild in their compression ability, but Well made. They would work well for your actual foot but they did not work well to keep my ankles from swelling. TRy a company like Ortho Feet who put numbers for compression on their products
