Q: Does this contain plastic microbeads?

The scrubbing agent is hydrated silica, a mild abrasive used also in some toothpastes such as Tom's of Maine© products.

Q: Are the microbeads biodegradable?

Thank you for the great question. The exfoliating particles we use in our Dove M+C body wash and bar products are not microplastics, but rather are hydrated silica and microcrystalline wax beads, and yes it is biodegradable

I have oily skin, so I'm don't know about a slick sheen of oiliness your referring to, I just know this product makes me feel fresh and clean
