Guide
I added this to my carpet clippers to allow me to be able to shave my tufting rug down evenly. Came in handy !

Works very well
Sometimes you buy things cheap and expect it to behave as so but not the case with this product! I can trim and carve so easily. These exact shears go for $80 on tufting websites, without accessories or a carrying case. So incredible deal on top of a great working trimmer. I usually only write reviews for products I would really recommend so there ya go, glad I bought this!

I little more heavy duty than the "professional" dog clippers I have been using
What I don't like is the handle. It's very...well, it's just not terribly ergonomic to hold while cleaning up a rug. The dog clippers I had been using have a more tapered handle that is smaller around than these and were much easier for me to hold for the time it takes to shave the front of a small/average size rug. I will say that these do work well on a rug, but again, they are heavier. Then, there is the cord. Okay, you do have a min/max to the shaving speed, but you have a CORD that can be a pain to work with/around. The dog shears I had been using also had three speeds and a rechargeable battery inside so the cord can be detached to make using the shears much easier. So, while these do work, I would appreciate the maker redesigning the handle and making it cordless.

It’ll do
This is a review on the shearing guide. The holes on the bottom of either the wood or the plexi are in the wrong place so no matter what you do, the plexi will not sit flat with clippers. The hole to hold the clipper isn’t big enough to smoothly insert clippers. If the grip on the clipper is on you really have to twist the clippers in order to get it to sit in the unit. I took the washers that it came with and used them with the screws to fasten the the wood to the plexi which helped somewhat but still not 100%. I’m just starting out with rug making and would say this is am ok option for the price but I wouldn’t recommend it for the long run.
