Had real problems with starting this machine.Customer service from supplier was very good and problem eventually sorted.

Got this auger to set 35 - 4x6 fence post and it got the job done.This Auger is worth the money. Easy to set up and change auger sizes, can also add extension rods. I went 36 inches depth and did not need any extensions (the augers are 36" in length plus the shaft is about 6 inches).I read the reviews about making sure you add grease via the fittings on the gear shaft so these reviews saved me. (The gear shaft is completely empty of grease on arrival, it was about 20 pumps each grease fitting).Cheaper than harbor freight and it ran perfectly through Florida/ Georgia Clay, small roots, and some rocks.This Product is for a strong armed user! If you hit a big root with the engine purring, the auger will stop and the motor head will keep spinning with you attached. Has been used a total of 4 times, starts, runs and works as it should. Also note, this motor runs on 30:1 fuel mix. The Shut off switch quit working on my motor but no big deal just open on the choke and it will stall the motor.

gas cable broke took 2 weeks to get here then one month later I used 4 inch shaft and twisted it totally off.

So I did a ton of research before buying this auger, checked reviews etc. First time starting up the auger the choke lever broke clean off. It is 100% plastic and I encourage the manufacturer to change that. We had to use a flathead screwdriver to engage the choke function to use. The unit did fire right up and we successfully dug 8 post holes with the 10 inch and 2 with the 6 inch blade. The unit ran very well while auging, even when hitting a rock. Overall the unit is great, I wish it had come with a small 2.6 ounce of oil but we used our chainsaw oil mixed with gas. If you have never used an auger before I implore you to test the small blade first. The kick back on an auger can be dangerous if the blade gets jammed on a rock or root! FYI we have 76 more post holes to dig so I will update this as we go!
