The Anchor Buddy works great at keeping the dinghy off the beach. We use it extensively in the Bahamas since most shore access is by beach. Works great at a dock, too. By tossing the anchor off the stern, we can keep the boat away from the dock. It keeps the boat from contacting the dock and/or sharp barnacles, and also helps keep clear access to the dock for others. Only down side is the hardware isn't suitable for salt water, it rusts in a short time. The crimp that holds the bungee inside the poly also rusts. The poly line is quick to snag on anything, just have to be careful with it. We got 2 seasons out of ours, so not too bad. But it can't be beat for doing what it's designed to do.

This thing is awesome. If you’ve never used one with your boat your missing out. Use the anchor buddy between your anchor and bow, then run a line from your stern to shore and pull some tension on the anchor buddy line. Your boat will be extremely secure. Then when your ready to head out you can pull your boat into shore and get in. Remove your stern line and the anchor buddy will pull you out to your anchor and away from shore. Awesome product

It arrived on time...It works...It stretches out returns to its size..I ordered blue 25-50 feet..probably last me 3 to 5 years or longer...Only gets used 5 to 8 time a year..
