1) Yes they are chrome, so not a true brushed nickel2) Yes use your own #6 x 5/8" screwsThese are nice enough. I used my own screws and had no problem installing. The finish/color is brushed chrome, so if that's a problem keep looking. They are fine for my kitchen remodel. Only concern is they are extruded metal and very sharp from the sides. I wonder if I'll ever catch one with my leg and cut myself. Would definitely be a stitches thing. So maybe not ideal if you have kids or are clumsy (like me). Regardless I recommend them 8/10 (though I'll give 5 stars with the caveats I wrote about).

Look exactly as pictured. Great for the price. The quality is fine- very thin but still looks nice. It scratches easily which would be the biggest downside especially if you plan to use it in a kitchen or a place that is very well used

These handles made for a perfect sleek finger grab. We didn’t really want anything that was outwardly visible. A couple quick notes when installing in mdf, use pilot holes with a drill, do not use a drill and bit to tighten, use a manual screwdriver and push them in gently to start with light pressure and slowly tighten up to secure. One handle was started by my husband and it stripped very quickly with a bit in mdf - the screws are very small! Love them!!!

New kitchen remodel and I wanted pulls that were unnoticeable, yet comfortable to use.We have similar pulls in our bathroom, but those are chrome and jut out just a tad less than these do. Those are sometimes not the easiest to use . . . they can be slippery because they're chrome . . . especially with wet or damp hands.I imagine the situation would be similar in the kitchen, so I went with these aluminum pulls with more of a brushed and slightly textured finish. I'm so happy I did.They protrude just a tad more than my chrome pulls do, and the brushed finish adds to them being easier to use.They are thin and feel quite light and feel flimsy out of the box, but once they are mounted, they are solid and secure.Each one comes wrapped in a protective material AND in an individual plastic bag too. You may think that's overkill with packing material, but not a single one was scratched or bent or damaged they were all protected so well.* * important * * Take note that the 3" listing does not mean the pull is 3" wide. The 3" means the holes are 3" on center. I ordered 3 sets of 10 of the 7 1/2 inch for a new kitchen and now that I am installing, the sizes vary by quarter of an inch. Poor attention to detail because I don't even see an option that measures 7 7/8. I got 20 of the bigger ones and only 10 of the correct size

They not only look great, they work well too. We bought them for top of each cabinet door under our island bar counter. Their low profile works well so that they are not going bump knees when someone is sitting there.

Handles look great but as other reviewers commented, the screws which come with break as you screw it in even if drilling a pilot hole leaving you with an issue of how to tread out a headless screw. Happy to have read other reviews as I could replace the screws with proper ones from the hardware store. The handle itself seems durable and looks nice which is why I gave it 3 starts
