This is the perfect, high quality product to take what I consider the best blender out there to the next level!The only frustrating feature of the Blendtec, in my opinion, is how often large, hard or frozen items get stuck or create air pockets that can ruin the blend or make you have to run the blend cycle again.This tamper fixes all of that by allowing you to reach all the way down to the blade height and loosen anything that gets stuck!It’s very sturdy and thoughtfully designed with a lip to catch drips- definitely won’t be breaking any time soon.Where was this thing all my life?? This is one product that can definitely take an already awesome product to the next level- I’m shocked that Blendtec doesn’t just include something like this, honestly.I was scared that it was a bit pricey, but honestly it’s worth it to me for every blend to come out perfectly the first time. I paid enough for the blender itself- it makes sense to pay a bit more to make it the perfect smoothie & ice cream machine.My only advice would be to freeze all of your produce in small chunks to begin with. Giant ice cubes or strawberries, etc. will always be murder on your blender’s motor. But ever since I started freezing small chunks of fruit, veggies, chia seeds, etc. adding protein powder & liquid to blend- I’ve been having amazing results thanks to this tamper! Can’t recommend it highly enough for resolving frustration!

If you make protein smoothies often with fruits and vegetables this is a great utensil . It helps stir and accelerate the blending process if need be.

As some other reviewers stated, the blending stick is a bit too long. If you put this stick in all the way, it hits the blades. In hindsight, I should have purchased a less expensive option and just controlled the depth manually which I have to do anyway. On the positive side, the blend stick seems to be well made.Update - 8/16 - The seller worked with me and determined that I had purchased the incorrect tamper for my lid. Although I had thrown away my packaging, he offered to make it right. I'm waiting to get my new tamper which will fit my Blendtec. As the first blend stick was well made, I have full confidence that I will be happy with the product with the correct fit. Excellent customer service.

I was so happy to switch back to Blendtec from Vitamix, in every way the blendtec is superior, easier to use, easier to clean, more powerful, quieter, shorter (so fits under counter). The only drawback was the lack of tamper, which prevented me from making really dry blends (like making ice cream from frozen bananas and frozen strawberries. Without a tamper I have to add enough liquid to get it to blend well, which makes the texture closer to a "smoothie bowl" instead of firm soft serve ice cream.Well, this is the perfect companion. And just like the blendtec, this tamper is better then the one for the Vitamix in every way. It doesn't roll away when laid down on the counter, I can stand it on it's handle after removing it from the blender so it doesn't make a mess, it's a great shape and size, easily agitates and moves things around nicely in the blender.Highly recommend this with EVERY Blendtec blender!!! Well, I had my doubts about if this product was going to be as good as I had hoped. It was much higher quality than I expected and it's what a Blendtec needs to be complete. I always like the flat sides of the Blender jar on the Blendtec, so much easier to spatula out all the smoothie with a flat-sided jar. But always felt that the Tamper on the Vitamix would have been easy for them to make and, offer with their blenders. Well, this does the trick. I didn't have any problems using it or cleaning it.I did have both lid types they talk about and since that was the case. I went with a tamper that was going to be easier to clean, no measuring spoon built-in was what I wanted. Also, the Tamper didn't come anywhere close to the blades on my blender, I was nervous about that. Maybe they could have charged less but I think it was worth it!
