I'd give it Ten (10) STARS if I could. Worth every cent!!!
Saved my 14-year-old 7 Win HP from the junk heap and turned it into a frisky, like new, backup computer....and would have saved me $500 by delaying a new computer purchase if I had only known of this option!!!Background: The VGA port broke off the Motherboard...clean break. Thought this was the end of my faithful, old computer. I found, after extensive online search, one and only one replacement port....and only on Amazon. Problem: Removing Motherboard and components in order to de-solder, remove the broken pins, replace and carefully resolder the new port, and finally reassemble the Motherboard posed quite a challenge. Greater chance of failure and loss of computer than success. I decided to look for options.Found a plug-in VGA card for Win 7, 8, and 10 promised to work perfectly and required no driver, since the information was built into the chip. Hmmm. Ordered it. It was easy, but the resolution was ONLY 800 x 640 on a monitor rated at 1920 x 1080. No instructions, no email address, no phone number for assistance. Returned card to Amazon. Thank you, Amazon!!!Compared a dozen other cards on Amazon and settled on this one. Next day. Easy, perfect fit into the PCIE slot. Turned it on. Worked, but again the resolution was only 800 x 640. Panic set in. The next moment a message asked if I wanted to increase the resolution. YES! Eureka! It increased somewhat, but not enough for normal work. Again, panic set in. Is there no hope for my 14-year-old Win 7 HP?Installed the Driver CD. Menu popped up and asked me to choose between two classes of drivers. The first included the 5400 series, which I chose. A new menu popped up for selecting 1). Win 7, 2). Win 8, 3). Win 8.1 and 4). Win 10. I picked Win 7. Waited and waited and waited....and waited. No activity, except message....."Driver NOT responding." Panic set in. Out of desperation I selected Win 8 option. Again, same situation. Not Responding. Ugh! Starting to get angry, I hit Win 8.1 option.......Loading files/installation box started....after a somewhat lengthy wait. PHEW!!! What a relief! After about a half hour or so, the Installation was complete. YEA! Message asked if I wanted to INCREASE Resolution....YES!!! Recommended 1920 x 1080, my monitor max. YES! Images were beautiful and better than originally. Surfed the web. Better than ever. No glitches on the critical sites I use for paying bills. So, it was my old computer and not their websites? I owe them an apology for blaming their sites. lol.Tried my other apps, especially Excel, which had been annoying and slow before, now slick, smooth and fast! YES! My computer was Reborn. Had I known what a difference a mere $50 PCIE VGA Card could make, I would have postponed buying that new Win 11 HP, which I thoroughly enjoy, but don't really need now.It was a JOY to use. I spent the remainder of the day "honeymooning," visiting here, there and everywhere on the web with my old friend who was now better than ever, and producing images as good as my new Win 11 computer. I also did some work, copying critical files, that I feared were lost forever, to my new Win 11 HP. It was so reassuring knowing that all was safe and good again, and nothing was lost. Furthermore, my old 14-year-old Win 7 HP computer now serves as a critical backup that is fully reliable and functionally up to date. The engineer in me loves redundancy.....the only way to go.Thank you Amazon. You made my day!

Good for older computer in need of a basic graphics replacement
This is not meant for current gaming but it does work as intended. Make sure you are aware of the specs and what you need.

Does the job but not great.
I am using this with an optiplex 380 and it could just be that my computer sucks but most games have terrible frame rate so i have to stick to playing things like command and conquer, if that gives any refference. it does have Direct X 11 but like i said not good frame rate.
