I have tools made by others that are more delicate and wear down fast. These are thick, very sharp and can handle many trims without sharpening. Like the handle with the plastic coating, great to grip. Highly recommend for trimming and chattering.

These tools are far better than I had feared, but with that great price I took the gamble. The tools that I wanted from a much more prominent source are nearly $200. Also I was hoping that they were magnetic; and they are. I use Neodymium magnets, (1/2" x 1/8") discs and they hold wonderfully! Makes it easiest to retrieve and hang back with out much fuss. The magnet grips right through the rubber with ease. One thing I might add is that I plan on get a diamond file sty and diamond sharpening pads to hone the edge on these tools. A couple of the pointed one I got gave a minute burr on the tip.GREAT BUY!!!

Solid, heavy duty, sharp, and lots of variety. As hobby potter I trim a fair number of pots in any given week. The variety offered here is fantastic. I'm more than happy with this purchase.

My regular tools are so much better. These legit suck. They do not leave a smooth trim. Super disappointed. Like don’t waste your money.

You get what you pay for. My experience has been that each tool has a specific task, and that they are too rough to use for general trimming. Still, I do get use out of these and so long as you have a basic trimming tool these only add to your toolkit.

I Just started using these for ceramics based on a recommendation from a highly skilled colleague and now I will never go without them. The edges are sharp and perfectly tuned to use at any angle. The variety is just right for most of my needs so far, including trimming freshly thrown to greenwear clay. The handles are covered with nice rubberized grip that stays put even with hands covered in slip. I don't know how long the edges will last I can tell that they will be easy to sharpen if I need to.

These tools are wonderful!! They are very sharp. The soft coating on the handle makes them very easy on your hands. My pottery instructor basically said to throw away my other (also new) tools and just use these. They made a couple hours of trimming really fun and productive.
