Y&H1200W Grid Tie Micro Inverter Waterproof MPPT Stackable DC30-60V Solar Input AC110V 220V Auto Pure Sine Wave Output for 30V 36V PV Panel

This thing is really bad. I bought the 1200w version with 4 inputs for my 270w panels. Attached it to the back of the panels as you do with microinverters. the most I've ever seen is 600w, but that lasts only a few minutes before it goes into a temperature foldback down to 250w-300w.I bought a solar powered chicken coop fan and some heatsyncs to try to keep it cool, but once it goes ito a temperature foldback it latches at the lower level until you turn the inverter off and on. then it will instantly jump up to a higher level for a bit, but for my application It's never sustainable to have an output over 400W (again, with 1080W of panels)As a test, I just unplugged 2 of my panels, leaving 2 installed. I STILL hit a temperature foldback at 180w, had to restart, then it got up to 250w before slowly ramping down to 200W. This is with the fan blowing across the heatsyncs full speed. After 3 months of testing, and trying all sorts of different things, I'm gonna try some other microinverter.

We have had tons of theses things this is the only one that hasn't quit after a few months so far still working i do under power it to 800 watts it produces around 650 watts going back to the grid

All 4 units failed after 6 months. After many messages back and forth, they say this is because of water damage and not covered by warranty. So much for being waterproof! I installed it under the solar panel as per their instructions, so it was not exposed to direct sunlight or rain. Oh, they said because I am a good customer, they will repair it if I pay for round trip shipping to China (which costs more than the unit.)
