Yes you could put different bowels in the wholes no problem

Q: Is there a way to keep the drawer open? When my dog eats from it, she closes it half way. Is there a way to lock it open or something?

We have a long piece of trim that we lay across it and out the edges of the bowls on it. Keeps it from closing.

no it holds a 15 lb bag and that is about the max
