Easy install, great result
We installed two of these solar tubes on the North facing side of our roof. This is not the recommended location for maximum light, but it was our only option. We were happy with how easy they were to install and the amount of light they still let in: it is just right for our bathrooms.

Just works
Just worked with the rest of the skylight. I have another one without the extension and you get a little bit more of light without it, so if you find a spot where you don't need it, better.

Well built; generic; works well.
Worked as proposed. My contractor made positive comment re build quality and convenience of installation. Works well as such. [Ordered one unit too many; return of the excess item is not supported by Amazon, so measure carefully before buying.]

Light up a dark room naturally
I used to have a dark kitchen and needed to have the lights turned on day and night. I was due to have my house roof replaced and decided to install a 12-inch natural light tunnel just before the new roof was installed, I installed it myself and have the roofers do all the sealing around the dome on the roof. It worked perfectly and as a result I now have a naturally illuminated kitchen and don't have to use the electric lights during the daytime. If I was doing it again, I would probably go with a slightly bigger tube to allow more natural light into my kitchen. You don't have to wait until you are replacing your roof, but I would have a professional roofer do the sealing around the dome just to insure no leaks afterwards, highly recommended.
