A great investment
We've had this furniture dolly for about 4 years now and it has been a lifesaver. We first purchased to help us move some very large, very heavy cabinet-style furniture. This dolly was especially good for helping us get these furniture pieces up stairs. We've since used this dolly for a wide variety of purposes, including moving loads of boxes and other supplies. As a 5'3" woman, I've found this dolly tremendously helpful for moving heavy loads on my own, including for longer distances (e.g., from a parking garage into a building a block away). Some things to note: this dolly is heavy duty and not at all flimsy. We've had some trouble getting the locking handle to work on some occasions, especially with stacks of boxes. I assume this is because there's not enough friction between the dolly's band and the cardboard boxes. This has not otherwise affected the function of the dolly, though. This dolly is NOT quiet. The plastic wheels plus metal construction mean that it makes a RACKET when moving it without a heavy load. It is, however, highly maneuverable. And in case anyone cares: this dolly will fit in the back of our old (2010) Prius with the seats down, so it's pretty transportable.

Back Saver for moving
Whenever I've moved an apartment or house, I always rented an appliance dollly from U-Haul. What the heck, it only adds $10 to the bill and they really DO make life a lot easier.I've been able to move fridges, washers, dryers, etc. by myself. Just stick the hand truck under one side, run the strap around, cinch it up and wheel away. I even managed to move a very large and VERY heavy entertainment center single-handed. It is all a matter of balance. The trick is the strap as a normal hand truck won't work. Now, I'd have to move more than ten more times for this to pay for itself. But by having my own, I save driving twice to U-Haul just to get it. That's because I've found that I use my regular hand truck a lot more than I'd figured, just around the house. Yet there are times I've need an appliance dolly instead. I could drive to U-Haul or call my son to come over and then struggle with it. Now, I just head out to the shop, grab this appliance dolly and move whatever it is. Done. This Harper unit seems to be just as sturdy as the one I've been renting from U-Haul and came in very handy in helping a family clear out the house of a close friend who recently passed.Even better, my son uses it as needed and will probably be using it long after I'm gone. At 30 years of age, I figure he as at least one or two moves left in his life. ;-)As an end note, it was rather funny watching the UPS guy pushing this down the hall when he delivered it. I teased him about not using his hand truck to deliver my hand truck. It is wrapped in white plastic when shipped. Pretty obvious what the package contained.

A very handy, capable cart
I have always rented U-Haul carts when I needed to move an appliance, and I really liked them compared to ones that can be found at local stores. During a recent move I had to help with coming up, I asked the representative at my local U-Haul and asked if he knew who made the appliance dollies they had. After a little research, he informed me that they were made by Harper Trucks.I turned to Amazon to find one, and couldn'e believe the very low cost to buy this dolly. I am very impressed with this cart. The only difference from this dolly compared to the U-Haul is the color, green versus orange. The move came up, and this assisted with two households worth of ovens, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, and even a couple of very large CRT (tube) TVs. It went up and down stairs with ease. The dolly did an excellent job and the automotive seat belt style webbing holds appliances and TVs almost to well. There was one instance where I had a difficult time getting the webbing undone. It was tightened well and sort of "locked in" to itself. Either way, it is nice that it is as secure as it is.All in all, if you are looking to purchase an appliance dolly, I highly recommend this one.

Made in USA and still working well
I bought this hand truck about a year ago, just used it around the house and works well. I LOVE that it’s made in USA. Nice quality furniture dolly. My only complaint is although the strap system works, it’s not the best and the foot plate is pretty small but works fine.Wheels feel like a hard plastic but putting my had on them I’d say they are a super hard rubber compound because they are grippy to the touch, not smooth like a hard plastic caster would be.Wheels spin easy, I used them multiple times on wood steps with no issues, just go slow. The belt on the back rolls well, you can hear it spinning going up and down steps as it should.

Seems sturdy, made in USA, great value!
I’ve used it a few times. Seems very sturdy. USA quality. Great value for the price, especially considering it would cost me probably over $100 just to ship something this large and heavy. Sure to last for years to come! Worth the investment to have one of these around when you need it.

Exactly what you would rent
This is handy, sturdy, and just exactly what you would rent from U-Haul. It isn't one of the full professional trucks regular installers have, but it is well above ones I have seen for sale at big-box stores.Strapping works and tightens like you would expect, but I have to say that someone could sure come up with a better system someday.
