My cat was outdoor for 5 years, now we're in an apartment and he can't go outside. He went nuts for this grass. I've never seen grass grow so fast. This is great, worth the money, super easy set up, effortless really. I'm probably get a second one too

Super easy to grow. Instructions are clear and precise. It's functional for the cats, and esthetically beautiful. Just the right size. Looks great, and the cats love it. My shelter cat is still pretty nervous and it helps calm him. I'm definitely buying the refill kits. Healthy and beautiful. Great price. Totally worth it.

Update: The company REALLY stands by their product and I can not say enough positive things about their response. They refunded my purchase so that I can try again and I will place that order as soon as I am back from travel. Like I initially said, the product quality seems very high. And the company clearly cares a lot and has integrity. I will absolutely be placing another order.----------This item is very pricey compared to other cat grass kits available-basically double. Because of the reviews and my needs, I went with it and actually bought two because I have multiple cats and even a small dog that occasionally will eat the grass.Pros: The way to put it into use is written clearly, a clean process, and simple to set up. No dirt to contend with which means no dirt on my floor or in my pet's mouth when they pull the grass out. I do really like the overall look of the tray. The wood is more of a band that goes around the outside of the washable tray and I do like that for hygiene reasons-I feel like I can really scrub out the tray. It seems to be fairly well constructed, it's sturdy and not flimsy thin wood. It appears this is the same kit they would send if you were purchasing their human consumable items just labeled for pet use. The grass that did grow, grew tall and smells sweet like it should.Neutral: The varnish on the wood is not super smooth and flaking off but really that is a minor inconvenience and it is far enough away from the grass that I am not concerned for the safety of the cats. I did scratch off loose bits of the varnish flakes so that the cats don't ingest them but it left areas of now unprotected wood.Cons: The growth was not at all what was expected. It is about 30% of the seeds that sprouted and grew and I followed the instructions to a tee. I spent a long time making sure the seeds were in a single layer, they do fill the bottom nicely but just didn't sprout. I waited until now so that I was right in the temperature range for good growth too since that makes a huge difference with plants. I had the same results on both trays which makes me think it was not a singular package glitch. The refill packets are also pretty expensive so I don't know how many times I will refill it.Overall, I'm a little disappointed simply because of the price vs results. From what grew, I think there should be a few mats and seeds in the pack at this price point-that would make it worth it in my mind. Some of the cats did sniff around and pretty quickly ate down the thin sparse grass but others still went outside and ate the wild grasses that I was hoping to keep them from by growing my own.

My cats LOVE this grass! The minute I put it down on the floor they began devouring it! It is soooo easy to grow and grows soooo fast. I recommend this product to anyone who wants their indoor cats to have some greens. It germinates quickly.

It was a great experience for my kids to do something for my cat, but if your cat is as destructive as mine.. you find those seeds, the grass pulled out into shreds and water all over the floor. I wish it had a way to better hold the grass in maybe. For me, it was a hassle to clean up. If your cat is mellow, this is perfect for your cat then.

The kit was super easy to set up and the seeds germinated very quickly. Within a week I actually had to start trimming it back even with my cat going to town on it.

This works so well and my cats love it. I simply followed the directions to let it germinate (3ish days). I was impressed with how long it lasted. It naturally does die out but fun for the cats while it lasts.

I love this! It's so much fun, especially at home with kids. 3 days and you've got grass growing for your cat, how cool! At first, I didn't think it was growing right, with the seeds sprouting sparsely, In patches kind of thin spots all over. Then, in 2 days it thickened up and was gorgueous. It looked like True green was out here tending to my lawn.My 4 cats loved it, so I'll definitely be buying the refill set. The gras was lucious and healthy looking, so I know it was good for them and a good product. The only reason I gave 4 stars wasn't for the product or their company, but for Amazon and their horrible delivery service lately. This was 3 days late, and was my 3 item I ordered recently late. It's getting out of hand. Don't promise me Friday and then give it toe Monday... Just say Monday. Or refund my money or something. And will only upload 1 picture and I had more than 1... Aggravating. I wanted y'all to see how pretty and green and healthy the grass got. The only pic it would let me leave was the seeds in the pan.
