It was exactly what I needed . Install was simple . Fixed my problem of old cables .

It's the right length and the right price. But, for my 96' Toyota Tacoma it was too tight of a fit where it attaches to the tail gate. Had to file slightly to get it to move as you open/close the tail gate. Otherwise, nice.

This fits 1996 Toyota Tacoma tailgate. It didn't work right at first but then I looked at pictures of originals and realized I just needed to flip them inside out. ADDITIONALLY, the cable bends DOWN and folds neatly under bolt. It initially bent up and I thought it was wrong as the cable interfered with the latch. I think this is what some of the other installers don't realize. Thank me later.

The cables fit fine, but are about 3/8 in longer and thinner than original. A bit longer won't affect most people, but I have a custom bumper so the tailgate touches it now. It's made with a thinner cable so it may not last as long. The originals lasted 25 yrs. if I get ten that'll be fine.
