Sweet
Cute, sweet romance with a little heartbreak too. Warning for criers like myself, there will be a few tears. Overall, just a sweet story.

awesome story with a fresh setting
This book had tenderness not only with new love but also in the heartbreak of loosing a loved one. I loved how the two main characters met, it was such a fresh idea.

Great story!
This sweet story reminded me of a Hallmark movie, so if you enjoy watching those movies, you’ll like this story.

If you don't want to cry then stop now
Dude talk about trauma bonding. The premise was cute. The plot is not strong the third act break up wasn't cohesive. His motivations needed to be explored more. The characters were okay. I didn't like her dad moving on with the woman he probably hooked up with in the past or when his wife was dying. Dating immediately after your spouse dies says that you believe your first partner is interchangeable with your second. I also didn't like how reactive and wishy-washy Maggie was. Chase was okay but blander than 2% milk. The pacing was good for an actual romance to build, but there was no heat. There is a difference between spicy as Booktok calls steamy to smutty romance novels and heat. You can have heat with no spice. Sexual tension is a good thing between romantic partners. She could have felt a buzz of electricity when they hugged or she could have mentioned how hot his voice made her.The writing is what falls the most flat. It's like an alien trying to describe human emotions without experiencing them. The males were described as pretty, and we like pretty. But, we fall for hot. Devon was pretty but not hot. I had better kisses in grade school. Both guys have the heat and the texture of cold pizza. The whole book is about grown adults being awkward. The world building is what saves the book. You are really there doing all those things in Arizona including grieving for a mother gone too soon. It's not outstanding but it is better than a two star so, I give it a three. Say it was a good effort but, it has issues. It's worth the read if you are willing to wade through the awkwardness.

Beautiful, clean story of loss, recovery and finding love
Chase and Maggie have both lost their mothers. Both are struggling to deal with their losses. Neither are handling it very well. They are brought together by a strange fluke and soon become close friends. This is a very poignant story of love and loss. It's an unusual story, very well written except for the modern fad of using the word Ground when the characters are INSIDE on the FLOOR !! It's completely incorrect and has no place in literature. Otherwise, the story is great.

Love in a Text
The Accidental Text by Becky Monson is a sweet book for those that believe in fate. And if you don’t, it still a wonderful book. It’s sweet and sad and happy all mixed into a book well written. It’s also a different spin on the boy meets girl, then boy falls in love with girl. I would like to know more about this cute couple so I guess I’ll have to read the next book.

Really Sweet
This was an easy read. I was charmed by Chase and Maggie. It was easy to get sucked into Maggie's life as she navigated her grief from losing her mom and life in general. I loved every character in her life. Then she meets Chase, who becomes a friend and a confident and more. This was a nice departure from my usual smut! There was no sex or touching, barely a kiss. I loved it anyway!

thoroughly fun and meaningful
Enjoyed this heartfelt story of sadness and getting through grief in many ways. Putting words out there is sometimes the best therapy there is. Lots of family love and support during a difficult time in life plus the accidental text proves to be what is needed. Great story.

Perfeito!!!

A melhor leitura do ano.

Gets better and better as you read!
Not sure why I chose to read this book as I knew nothing about it and it wasn’t an author I’d heard of. The main character had recently lost her mum, I have also recently lost my mum but similarities ended there… different families, characters etc… complete opposites in fact, however, grieving processes, so similar!Loved all characters even though I didn’t identify with any until near the end and then I identified so much that I was in floods! The book is light, relaxed but moving and it feels like you want to keep reading… not that you need to or ‘can’t put it down’ but you can enjoy it even two days after stopping the chapter and pick up the feeling right way.The characters are all individual and likeable in their own way and the main characters are witty and warm which made me smile and able to empathise with them. There were elements I couldn’t see as realistic but that was basing it on my own experience and then parts I totally disagreed with but as you read on you begin to understand that we’re just different and there is no right or wrong way to grieve or react to death.Anyway, you don’t have to have lost somebody to enjoy this book, it’s a light romance with serious aspects. I would have loved this book 10 years ago or 10 years from now. It’s an all rounder for me and I loved it.

Hit me in the feels! 🥰😭
The Accidental Text is such a sweet, lovely story about Maggie, a girl who's recently lost her mum and is trying to work through her grief. She texts her mum's old phone number about anything and everything, as a way to still feel close to her mum but also as a way to work through her feelings. You can imagine her surprise when she actually gets a reply one day! Don't worry, it's not her mum from beyond the grave. This is when we're introduced to Chase.Chase. *swoon*. I felt a little bit in love with chase before you even get to meet him in the book. He is so sweet, and funny, and just lovely that I couldn't help it 🥰.I don't want to give much more away, but this book deserves 5 stars from me because it made me laugh, and swoon, and cry proper big fat tears too 😭.It's so worth a read.Read it.😊😂🥰😭😭🥰🥰🥰

Yes Yes Yes
Oh how I loved this book. Maggie going through so many emotions after she lost her mum and trying to deal with this on anyway she can . Plus dealing with her family and how her father and siblings were all trying to deal with the loss.Chase inadvertently became part of the way Maggie was dealing with all these feelings. This story could have gone a few different ways but I have to say loved how it played out. Chase you were everything Maggie didn't know she wanted. You were special Thank you Beckie for this lovely book
