We have a hot water heating unit designed to fit under a kitchen cabinet and vent heat through the kick plate of the cabinet. After 35 years the vent cover for the heater looked a little sad. It even looked worse when we got new cabinets and we didn’t re install the old one. We bought these to cover the hole cut out in the kick plate of the cabinet to vent the heater. Since they were sold as a pair, we now have a spare to use in case the first one gets dented. Nicely made and painted well. Blends right in with the cabinet.

These are really nice small grilles. Unfortunately, they are a lot smaller than advertised. The size of the neck is 6 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inches. The area of the cutout is roughly 5 3/8 inches by 1 inch, of which a little more than half is metal and less than half is open. So the net-free ventilation must be about 2 sq in. I needed 6 sq in of venting, and assumed that a grill advertised at 2 in x 8 in would be ample. Not so! Installation is by four tiny screws that have to be inserted from the back. That's fine, if the back is accessible. Otherwise, you will have to drill and countersink the flange, which is amply wide.

Good material and very durable! They were easy to install, light weight, and a good color. Not super noisy either.
