Clarity D704 40db Amplified/Low Vision Cordless Phone with CID Display

Bought this for my elderly mother who swears there is nothing wrong with her hearing even though she's constantly asking me to repeat myself. (Love her!) Anyway, she loves the phone. The speakerphone is loud and clear and the boost function for hearing soft talkers or people with noise in the background is perfect for her. Like other raters, the buttons on the side of the phone accidentally get pushed with normal handling, but to me or her that's no big deal. The digital buttons are large, soft and easy to read or push, and the phone works perfectly. I would highly recommend it for anyone with seeing or hearing difficulties.

Nice lightened keys. Sound booster expected more loud. Very good speaker sound and display. Caller ID do not works here in Brazil.

My Mother is 90 years old and has trouble seeing, hearing and holding on to things. The phone is light weight and easy for her to hold. The number pad is large and illuminated which makes it so much easier for her to see. The loud ring is fantastic, she can actually hear it and the boost feature is great for those low volume calls.

I bought this for my mother who is hard of hearing. There are two ways to boost the volume. There is a well marked rocker switch (like many phones) on the side. Then there is a push button marked boost. The side rocker has up to four bars of sound volume. The problem is that it defaults to the lowest volume and you must raise it each and every telephone call which is a pain for the elderly and they have to remember to do this so they can hear the call. I suppose with constant repetition they might remember it but that is a pain. Also the volume starts out lower than on a regular phone which is amazing. Why would that be so? This phone is for the hearing impaired so why not start with at least the same volume as any regular phone? I had trouble hearing with this phone on its default low setting! Still the phone, when you go to the trouble of pushing the volume side switch, and then push the boost it really does boost well. Also the rest of the phone is nice and visible. I also like the treble boost 1 and 2 settings for people who only need the boost of the upper frequencies. Good idea.

I would recommend it for anyone, whether you are hearing impaired, or just want a phone with a louder volume than normal. Work well with my voip phone.

Phone itself is great. But only lasted 2 months before it stopped operating.

easy to read, little difficult to set up, but mostly good value for money

This was a Christmas gift for my aunt and she says it works well for her. I had previously purchased the same phone for my 91 year old mother & it is easy for her to use. The large buttons are easy for her to see & it is also easy for her to increase the volume. Battery is long lasting.

It's described as phone for seniors but my 92 year old mother couldn't use it. We had to buy another phone. The volume button was hard for her. The lack of dial tone confused her as did button tone letting you know you had entered a key. Other features of the phone were also difficult. It could be useful for some people with better vision or who aren't very old.

Utiliser pour ma mère qui est âge de 85 ans. Difficulté visuelle et auditive. Il répond bien à c’est besoin.

When I press ‘flash’ to answer phone the button sticks, just sometimes & I lose my party.Other than that I am very happy.

I bought this for my mother-in-law who is hard of hearing and it really improved the quality of hearing for her.
