This is wonderful. It is a nice size and very enjoyable to watch.

The air levels may need to be adjusted. It is a pain, but the tools are included. It looks great after!

I bought this as a tertiary birthday gift for my wife, but turned out that it's one of her favorite gifts. She loves watching the sand fall from the top to the bottom, or turning it and walking away to come back and find what new design has developed. For the price, I definitely got more compliments because of this gift than others and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanted to add a little whimsy to their living room/bedroom/study.

I'll admit that right out of the box I was disappointed. Instead of having the so-talked-about bubbles that hold up the sand and make it trickle down slowly, I was surprised by a single large bubble of air. When flipping the hoop, the sand bypassed the air pocket and fell unimpeded in a swift and anticlimactic blue cloud.Luckily, before trying to mess around with the syringe that came in the box and trying to adjust the amount of air, I decided to give a try a technique I read in another review of a similar product: to firmly hold it flat (with both hands) and shake it vigorously.This caused the big bubble to break up into several little bubbles, and then, after letting the dust settle (pun intended), it worked! I flipped it over, and there it was!! The trickling sand forming beautiful dunes and landscapes!This made me realize that it's NOT about the quantity of air, but about the quality of bubbles!The smaller bubbles disperse into a thin barrier that allows the sand to fall down gracefully in between the bubbles and forming beautiful patterns!I did notice that after a while the bubbles tend to merge back. But when that happens I just shake it again to "reset" it. I guess that would explain the reviews of people complaining that it worked fine at first, but then not anymore...As for the one review who said, "Cheaply made - Drop it once & you will have a mess", well.. this IS made of glass, so... DON'T drop it!

I really wanted to add an interesting thing to look at everyday and this is such a neat decorative option. I think i may have to adjust the water a tad to get the desired sand fall, but at the end of the day im not disappointed. :)

Every single evening I flip this over a few times to see the absolutely stunning sand show. I can’t get enough of it. It’s relaxing to watch, move around, create different sand shows.
