High quality tamarind. Tastes great and this small package goes a long way

While the tamarind inside the package is excellent, the packaging is so unbelieveably terrible that I have to believe it was on purpose. I don't see how you could design something to leak so perfectly and so chronically no matter what the consumer does. I've never seen anything quite like it. Yes, I eventually just decanted it into a different bottle, but this was after 6000 attempts to simply get the bottle to sit there in the fridge without leaking everywhere. I thought it would eventually be possible. It's not. Amazing.

Nothing wrong with this product. Use it for Tom Yum this weekend. Soup was great. The only complaint I have is that container is not the highest quality. Lid does not stay secure at all. Had to use duct tape to hold it. Next time look for something with “twist-on” metal lid on the glass jar.

I used this in a gado gado peanut sauce and it turned out well! Works well to add acidity to Thai and Indonesian dishes.

This product is a great tamarind concentrate if you are making Indian food. This is very different, however, from Thai tamarind concentrate. This Indian version in much more concentrated and much more sour than the Thai version. If you follow a Thai recipe and use this concentrate, your food will be much too sour.
