Stunning widescreen display for work, not gaming
I love using this monitor for work and being able to have several different windows open and visible at once. This replaced 2 27" monitors. I couldn't stand not being able to look directly ahead and would need to turn my head left or right throughout the day causing neck strain. The 5k picture quality is very sharp. The colors look fantastic. I don't use the grid locking software all that much, nor do I use the software to use your peripherals between two devices. I use a KVM switch instead. My only complaint is that switching between inputs can be a bit of a pain. I would have loved if the monitor auto selected the input based on active status, or if there were a remote control included to select inputs. Other than that, this is a great monitor. A bit pricey but really stunning and has helped my productivity.

Do yourself a favor and buy this.
The LG 49WL95C-WY UltraWide Monitor is an extraordinary piece of technology. Its 49" dual DQHD curved IPS display offers an immersive experience that has made my work much more efficient. The color quality is superb, with sRGB 99% Color Gamut and HDR10 support, making visuals stunningly vivid and clear. The response time is impressive, and the adjustable stand adds to the convenience. I find it superior to the Samsung Odyssey in terms of overall performance and ease of use. This monitor is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to upgrade their visual setup.

This monitor only lasted 7 months!
I got this LG 49” monitor about 7 months ago. Initially, I was pretty happy with the purchase except for a few things such as not having a remote control, having very limited ports, and the screen being barely curved (kind of difficult to use for work because it is mostly flat). Other than those things, I was pretty satisfied with my purchase… up until now. Out of nowhere, the monitor just completely stopped working. I was just sitting at my desk doing work and “poof” the screen was completely out. At first it acted as if it was glitching but a few minutes later it completely fried. I contacted customer support from LG through Amazon and they said there is not really much they can do. They told me they can try to repair, and I will have to ship this massive 49” inch back to them, but if the shipment gets damaged along the way they would not be able to help. Luckily, I had purchased additional coverage through Asurion (the team was fantastic) and they will cover this damage with a replacement since it is not fixable. If it wasn’t for them, I would be at a complete loss. If you are spending this much money on a monitor, go with another brand. LG is not a good option. A product at this price should not last 7 months. If you decide to purchase this product, keep the box. You might need it when your monitor goes out too.

LG 49WL95C-WE 32:9 UltraWide Monitor 49"
I have this monitor for about two weeks now. I must say, I love it. It fit perfect on my desk, the quality is good, no dead pixels, no complaints whatsoever. I'm using the USB Type C connection with my HP Laptop, and everything looks amazingly beautiful in this massive screen. I do not use it for gaming so I can't really comment on those specifics, nor have I tried the dual inputs yet (i.e. a second PC). I overall love it. Good for Trading.

Great display with a big screen, but low curvature, which may be uncomfortable.
In general, this is a fantastic screen. The picture is excellent, good response and can easily display two computers at once which was a must for me and the reason I bought it. I do not use the KVM function so I cannot comment on that. (I use Synergy to control 3 computers just in case you wondered) Unfortunately, the curvature of the screen is very small, and this causes the screen to look almost flat, that means that the side of the screen is harder to see and become a bit uncomfortable when using more than one computer simultaneously. Curvature may not be an issue if you only use it on one computer but when you use two, it is problematic as you want to see both screens together. I do not see why they would not use a more curved screen, like they have on the fantastic 35 in screens. That would help a lot when hooking up the two computers. If you use one computer, well you will typically keep stuff more towards the middle so you would not notice this. Now I ran a game on one of my computers and it was excellent even if it was rendered at 27" it was responsive and looked fantastic no delays no problems. I tried on the full display but this game is not compatible so it just rendered at the max resolution supported so I cannot judge on games that do support the full resolution of this display, I would think they will be great though. As for productivity, if you use one computer, great it will be fantastic. If you use two computers you will have some discomfort, but it is workable. This is the reason I gave 4 stars. I used to have two 35 in curved displays and that is not beatable by this display. I needed this because I cannot put 3 displays on my desk (I need 3 computers simultaneously) so I got this one to display 2 of them at lower size (27") and then one at 35". This fits in my desk but it is, as I mentioned a bit uncomfortable.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I use this screen for my work. The screen quality is fantastic with no dead pixels. Connectivity via DisplayPort 1.4 provides high performance quality connectivity at 120Hz in my case with the graphics card I have (AMD Radeon RX 6700). I work with Windows 11 and MacOS with no problem. Make sure you have a recent MacBook pro to support the maximum resolution. I do casual gaming, which is perfect for me. The 1000r curvature ratio is a bit flat for an immersive experience (1800r curvature is more appropriate). Cons: When I start working in the morning, the screen cracks (top part that is in plastic) for 1-2 minutes under the effect of the heat. This crackling sound is only temporary when the screen is hot. Some people may not notice it, but I did.

Works great on my m1 Mac, pixel density is not to high so texts are very readable. Love this monitor! I'm not into gaming so I can't comment about that but for productivity and what I use it for the 60hz refresh rate is all right for me. Great price for the great quality, very satisfied! :-)

The monitor in itself would be good quality...if it worked.... It's impossible to make this work at full resolution with Apple M1 despite many attempts with different cables, different input sources. Please check Mac forums. A lot of people complaining for the same issue. The only way to make it work has been through HDMI that does NOT support the maximum resolution (only DP does). Cherry on the cake today it completely stopped working (completely dead) and sending it back to service center. Service center is a third party small shop in Bur Dubai where LG won't even give you the exact pin on the map. So an adventure in itself just to have it repaired. Of course no pick up option even if it's a bulky heavy piece that you can't carry on your own. Horrible experience, no wonder LG is discontinuing this model (probably too many complaints). Do not buy.

I was hesitant because it was 2k, but it's been holding up and working great! Not great for competitive gaming because of its 60hz refresh rate and because it's so big, but feels really immersive for single-player story/adventure games like The Long Dark for example.
