About a metre high and a little wider, depending where you live. Hardy to around -8C if in a sheltered position, but less if not.

Q: best soil for this plant

I wouldn't risk them in very heavy clay. Well-drained is probably best, I have moved around and usually have one and in a slightly sheltered spot with some shade, with good drainage, definitely does best. Large planters also work well.

Q: Do fatsia japonica have flowers?

This plant can produce white flowers but mine hasn’t yet. I think it has to be quite mature to produce flowers.
