Be Excited About a Tripod
I have a lot of film and photography gear collected over a 40 year career. I've never been as excited over a tripod as this one. I've yet to read all the instructions, but the innovation and flexibility and workmanship are amazing. But there's one thing they missed in the on-line specifications. I suspected it and have now proved it. I needed a sturdy tripod that would fit INSIDE my roll-on luggage. The description claims it folds to 26.5 inches, which is too long for my luggage, even inside diagonally. BUT, as I suspected, the head comes off, and the only unit fits easily longways in the luggage (not diagonally). It comes with two plates, and the carrying case fully padded with an extra pouch on the side for accessories. Great product.

Affordable option
This seems like a quality product, but I’m having bad luck getting one that I don’t need to return. The first was repackaged (saved $10), but unfortunately it seems that someone ordered it, took the pan handle, then returned it. The second was shipped in original package and was damaged when it arrived.I’ll be using this for glassing mountain through binos and spotting scopes while hunting. It’s a bit heavier (2lbs) and slightly bulkier than a “hunting” tripod, but it’s anywhere from 1/2 to 1/4 the cost of those tripods as well. I think I can deal with the additional weight for those savings.

Good enough for me!
The media could not be loaded. Overall: Good product for the money with DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras.Build: Build quality feels solid. Latches closes with a good feel. Should last for a long time with average wear.Performance: Panning and Tilting with the fluid head was smooth. Used other Cayer heads before and it feels the same.Value: I feel its in line with the rest of the market maybe a little more but Cayer hasn't let me down yet and comparing it to the carbon fiber version you can decide if its worth the different in price.

Impressed with the details
I bought two of these for my digital media students to use. I needed something robust because teenagers break everything. This appears quite sturdy. I love the fluid head which is very smooth. The little details like the spring loaded hook at the bottom for holding a sandbag or other things is nice as it holds out of the way when not in use. The removable rubber/metal spiked feet make the unit more flexible for different terrain. I love that this uses lever locks instead of the twist style. This makes it so much faster to deploy and stow. I don't like that the long handle must be removed to be able to store the unit in the carry bag. Just a touch more fabric would have allowed me to keep the handle in place. The bag is nice, however. It had both a handle and an arm strap which can be removed if desired. I love the inclusion of the mini mounting post which allows you to practically lay the entire tripod on the ground. The legs extend out crazy far all on their own without needing the long tube. With just the short tube and the legs fully extended, the camera would be at exactly head level for me and I'm 5' 10". With the legs fully extended and the long tube on it, the sucker easily towers over even the tallest person, making it great for filming over the heads of crowd. The tripod is sturdy and doesn't appear to be too susceptible to vibrations from wind and other things. I love it so much I ended up buying a third one for myself!

Sturdy, Lightweight
L I K E S 👍🏾— Two-in-one pieces of gear are great. I love the option to have a monopod.— Similar build quality to Cayer’s heavy duty tripod which I own and love.— Wide spread legs are helpful for long angle shots.D I S L I K E S 👎🏾— Sometimes while panning the head unscrews from the tripod base. A longer will fix this.— The screw on my handle doesn’t adjust smoothly making it finicky to tighten and loosen.
