Q: Should these be thrown away after a certain amount of time or only if it's damaged/breaking?

This is a non issue because there is either some kind of black hole that sucks (pun intended) up a pacifiers or they are designed to randomly disappear into thin air. If you can keep track of one enough to worry about it getting old my hats off to you!!

Q: Are these made of the material that collects lint and hair?

It can be easily rinsed off and is good to go

Q: Is there a newborn size and the a bigger size for toddlers?

Its one size to mimic their nipples on some of their bottles, but my daughter loved them, she also used the bottles they mimic so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Highly recommend!
