Perfect!
This is just what I was looking for. This floor mat ships to you flat in a box so there is on unrolling and it is very very sturdy. There was a little small dent in the mat from shipping but not enough to send return or exchange. There is no indention in the mat from my chair which was an issue in my previous mat. So far this mat does not do that and overall a nice quality floor mat to help protect my rugs. Highly recommend.

Only mat that works for any length of time
This was an exact replacement for the mat I've had for about 10 years. The reason I buy this type of mat is because they're made of polycarbonate, and nearly indestructible polymer (used in many bullet-proof items). I use my desk chair which sits on the mat every day. I have tried vinyl, polyethylene, etc., none of which last. These last a very long time. Only mat I will buy.

Becomes brittle and cracks.
Purchased this item in June of 2018 so I gave it 1 star for every year or service. Two weeks ago I noticed a crack in the mat so I shuffled the desk chair around to avoid making it worse but as the photos show, that did not solve any problems. I considered cutting the mat across to remove the portion that was cracked but this mat is like hard plastic and has a tendency to shatter so in the interest of safety I gave up that idea. The other issue was that every few days it became necessary to re-position the mat as it slides around fairly easy. I have to purchase another mat and I am not sure which one I will find to fit my needs but I certainly know what company I will not purchase from. $60+ for a mat is not horribly expensive but I used to get 2 to 3 years service from a $20 Costco mat, unfortunately they are no longer carried. Recommend reading the reviews and make your own judgement call, perhaps you will have better service.

Very thin. Disappointed
Quailty wise it seems well made. It's too thin to use on anything more than commercial carpet. Even on low pile carpet it bends into the carpet and make it hard to roll on. A heavier mat is what I need for my low pile carpets.Interesting the way they ship it. It's shipped flat instead of rolling it. Instead of taping it, they used like 10 staples.Going to keep but I'll wind up replacing with a thicker Mat in short order.

Do Yourself A Favor and Buy This
After merely a day of using this, I cannot believe that I went without a desk chair mat for so long! On the medium pile carpet in my bedroom/home office, this truly makes a world of difference. The 36 x 48" with lip version fit the footprint of my Z-Line Belaire Glass l-shaped desk perfectly. All corners are rounded, and the plastic feet underneath the mat ensure that it anchors firmly into the carpet and stays put. The top surface is nicely textured to prevent your chair from sliding around, unless intentional. Love it!

Moves across my carpet; damages my desk
I have a standard pile carpet, basically flat with a pattern, and this carpet protector constantly moves around and bumps into the inner corners of my Pottery Barn desk. So be cautious as you read these 5 star reviews. I regret buying this thing and now am stuck buying something different and taking the $40 loss.

Delivered flat to you and sturdy
At first I was skeptical getting this and kept searching other products similar and cheaper. But I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, I have high pile carpet, and this mat is solid. I almost went cheap, cause I'm a broke @$$ college student lol but I'm glad I convinced myself and read enough reviews to get it. Definitely must buy if you're looking for something sturdy and long lasting. The shipment IS delivered flat, no unrolling necessary, comes transparent (obviously) and just super legit.

Not for use on deep pile rugs
The mat is very thin and will lift up around edges when sitting in a chair. Be careful if barefoot, as edges can hurt with foot contact. Also no beveled edges often makes rolling a chair onto difficult. In all honesty, it states for 'med-pile' rugs. The spikes just aren't long enough to bottom out on my deep pile.
