NOT EVEN WORTH $2
If it looks too good to be true then it is. This lens if you can call it that was hard to attach and if you do get it attached it's hard to remove. Tilt and shift function doesn't do anything. Bottom line it's not even worth the plastic and metal it was made from.

Excellent, but only if it's what you're looking for
I have been very happy with this lens. My goal in using a tilt-shift lens is to distort focus for creative control over blur. For this application, I have been very happy with the lens and find that it works beautifully. Stopped down to about F5.6 or 8, it is sharp in its sweet spot. Wide-open is quite soft. Tilt and shift knobs are easy to use.If I were a landscape photographer using tilt to gain maximum depth of field or an architectural photographer looking to straighten converging lines, I don't know what my experience would be, as I do not do these things. But as for this lens's performance as a creative tool (think of it as a souped-up LensBaby), I am very pleased. The price tag's a bit high, I think, but it is less than half the cost of a comparable Canon or Nikon.I have had absolutely none of the mechanical problems described by the other reviewer.

Better than in other reviews
All works well. The glass is good quality. The shift function can be used in numerous ways but must be understood. The tilt determines the angle of the focal plane, and the accompanying cone of focus. It can provide a deep depth of field without stopping down the aperture all the way, avoiding aberration and letting you use the sweet spot for clarity and color. An excellent resource: ASIN:0969502524 Focusing the View Camera : A Scientific Way to Focus the View Camera and Estimate Depth of Field, because the optics of this lens are essentially like those of a view camera, but more limited. To better understand the effects on perspective from the shift it is helpful if your camera has a grid option, and always carefully level the camera on your tripod, a level in the accessory shoe is perfect. My rating is based on price. You got 85% of the quality of the Nikon PC-E's at less than 50% of the cost. If money grew on trees I'd have the Nikon.
