Work great
The biggest problem with these is there can be NO resistance when engaging the lock. If the lock rubs the strike plate or bottoms out before fully engaging you may get an error. Other then that, they're great. They are easy to set up and easy to use.

Great for Apartments - Just needs more updates on features
I bought the Eufy R20 (fingerprint option) as an upgrade to my current lock. Worked really well especially living in an apartment. I've been in the market researching for what locks I can use without changing the locks and the only ones that really came up was the August and Wyze. When I found out about the R10/R20, I was really excited (as a lot of reviews said good things about Eufy products - being budget friendly but good). The main reason to have the lock is for my anxiety where I can check and make sure that my door lock is indeed, locked. And for that purpose it works really well. I used an adjustable video doorbell mount for the keypad (bought on Amazon, coolwufan or something)However some minor issues. (1) I bought the fingerprint version of this lock to make it easier to open (more expensive than just the keypad) , but the fingerprint scanner is a hit or miss. It often fails and we have to angle or rotate our thumbs to unlock the door. And yes, I added my own fingers multiple times. Also happens to other people in the family. I wish I didn't buy this version since it was more expensive. (2) While the lock/unlock notification is wonderful and work extremely well for every lock and unlock, when you check the status of the lock from the app, 80% of the time, it always shows unlocked (not syncing). I either have to keep refreshing it or restarting the app. Eventually, I end up opening my camera facing the door to check (yes, I have also one in front of the door because of my anxiety). (3) The auto lock feature is also hit or miss. I wish the lock actually knew when the door is open, because when the auto lock feature does work (on occasion) , coincidentally it does when the door is open (yes I already calibrated a number of times). I know some smart locks have another add on where you attach it to the door so it knows if the door is open or not (both August and Wyze has this, I believe). But anyway that's not a feature I care much about.Other than that, it's really worked wonders and doesn't take away from the overall experience. Though I would have wished everything works perfectly, but that's of course too much to ask. I'm still very glad I found this smart lock right on time, as I was already about to buy either the August lock (very expensive) or Wyze (cheap, but I already have a lot of wyze products and I don't really care for them to be honest and that's saying a lot because I have a subscription with them for my cameras).I'm adding a lot of pictures, because when I was making a decision, I couldn't find any pics of this product from other customers. And I had a ton of questions about dimensions and what not. So I hope this help other people make a decision.

Great for renters!
I installed this in under 10 minutes and had it working in less than 5 it's great! They keypad with fingerprint allows you to name everyone's print so you know who's unlocking the door and when, the autolock feature is great for My forgetful teenager. Absolutely reccomend this for anyone that doesn't want to change their deadbolt because they are renting or just to keep your keys the same. No issues with disconnection and it also utilizes bluetooth in case the wifi is down which for me was a huge bonus being a floridian with hurricaine season, we lose power a lot!

Warning for international customers: it doesn't work outside the US
I live in Ecuador, and I recently got this smart lock to add it to my array of Eufy devices. When I was trying to install it, it failed connecting to my local wifi (I have a dual band router that works perfectly with my other Eufy devices). I contacted customer service about this issue and they said they would transfer my query to the technical staff.Today I received an e-mail from them telling me that I need to change the region to US because this lock only works under such region. However, the app doesn't let you change the region, nor you can do it in Eufy's website. So, the only solution would be to delete my account and all my devices, and set up a new account choosing the US region, fairly easy, right?. Well, I contacted customer service again, just in case, and they told me that Eufy smart locks can't work outside the US, which means the device needs to physically be in the US.I find this "issue" more than ridiculous, it's absurd and offensive for international customers, because there's no information about this issue here in the advertisement, and there are no comments nor warnings from Eufy's side to prevent international customers from purchasing their smart locks. Plus, seriously, it's 2023! How can you guys sell an electronic device that can only work inside one country? It's like not being able to use a Nintendo outside Japan. On top of this, since I live in South America, I can't easily return it and get my money back. Sending it back to the US would cost me more than the refund!

Easy to use, super convenient
I had a different automatic lock, and it replaced the entire deadbolt. As you can imagine, this lock wasn't wholly in sync with the deadbolt hole, thus would often get jammed causing the battery to wear down, and lots of frustration. Eufy doesn't replace the deadbolt on the exterior, thus there should be no issue here (unless you're existing deadbolt already gets stuck). Additionally, the fingerprint setup was super easy and the auto-lock setting was also super easy (great as my in-laws forget to lock).

Unit mounts with the bolts that hold the deadbolt together
Installation is relatively easy if you look closely at the pictures. The instructions don't tell you to use the bolts that assemble the inside to the outside of the deadbolt but they are necessary to attaching the mounting plate for the eufy locking mechanism. Other than that very minor item, this is a very good product - easy to install, program, and use. I liked my first one so well I bought a second. Now I'm getting ready to buy a third and fourth.
