Travel locks have apparently come a long way since I last purchased one ~10+ years ago. This lock does not feel cheap. There is some heft to the body, the dials turn smoothly but are not loose. The TSA unlock indicator is cool - a red button pops up if the lock was opened using a TSA key - this can't be reset without entering the correct lock combination. You will know if the TSA or nefarious baggage handlers tampered with your luggage.Features of this lock that I like:Setting the combination is easy, but protected from accidentally changing the combination, unlike other locks I've worked with.The cable easily fits through zipper pulls - I used this lock to help keep a backpack secure when I checked it as baggage. I didn't need to worry about the zippers opening during transit.The cable is spring-loaded and pops out of the lock when you press the release button. Some of the solid shank locks I've used in the past require fiddling to pull open even after the correct combination has been entered.The cable lock won't open until you press the release button - This is useful in situations where you forget to roll the tumblers away from your combination. I've lost more than one travel lock because I forgot to change the tumblers and the lock shank pulled open on its own during travel.I purchased 4 of these - I'm going to throw away my old locks once I get back from my travels. They are far superior to any of the older TSA locks I have been using.

We bought these to use on our trip to Italy. They gave us peace of mind and a level of security. My original thought was they may be a bit big but that wasn’t the case. The cable allows them to be used in different configurations. We used them on our luggage and backpacks. We set our code easily without issue. When they came the red TSA indicator was out but when you open the lock it resets. We bought the orange color and it helped us locate our bags on the carousel too.

Just traveling for 3 weeks in Europe and my fiancé and I used these on our checked luggage. Easy to program the lock code and we had no issues with our checked luggage and we were even able to lock our luggage when we left the hotels for the day. No complaints here, great value and did the trick!

I bought 4 of these locks and gave two to my wife. I rekeyed them with same combination and we both have access to all our luggage. I’ve started putting one on my backpack, because we’ve been places where I could see someone trying to get into it, and I don’t want to wear it in my chest. The bright color was also a benefit.

I love the cable lock they fit into suitcase zipper pulls and you can turn them around for easy locking .They held up quite well ,felt comfortable knowing if my suitcase was open or not by airport inspectors with indicator .Easy to set code worked every time and I used to lock up my valuable while out of hotel room feeling these locks would not be easy to cut and removed.

We used these on our suitcases and they worked great. We never had an issue with them. Definitely would purchase again or more if needed.

These locks are wonderful and easy to use. They seem solidly built. It was extremely easy to change the combination to one that was easy to remember for all family members. An exceptional feature of these locks is the small red button on top that pops up when a TSA key is used to open the lock (and examine the contents of the suitcase). The button is only disengaged when the owner of the lock put in the combination. This added peace of mind is fantastic when traveling to places where luggage must go through multiple porter, valet and temporary storage stops. Would buy these again in a heartbeat.

Very easy to manipulate the combination discs, which are very easy to read and set, are framed on the lock side with a push button to release. The lock body is very robust, however the coating on the cable stops short where it is crimped and enters the lock body, exposing the cables to filling. This is not a unique, but a very common fault of this style of lock. I know because I personally verified this fault on many different locks in luggage stores. Overall it is a very good lock and will protect your luggage for the purpose it was designed for. As a TSA cable lock, I found this model to be the easiest to use. Where a classic protected shackle can be used instead, choose that model. There is one available from Amazon with the same robust construction.

Main reason why I picked this lock over so many others in the similar price range: the cable design. Most other locks in this price range usually have those short metal shackles that are hard to manipulate especially when you're on the go at the airport and in a hurry. Having a long wire makes things that much easier. It's also TSA friendly so no cut locks if you decide to lock your checked luggage.Super simple to set the combination, just had to flip a switch at the bottom corner and then flip it back when you're done. Highly recommended.

The lock itself works well, seems high quality and felt very durable. It was easy to set up and use, and fit all the luggage I tested it on. However, it did end up getting cut despite the supposed TSA Master Key compatibility. (When I collected the bag the lock was gone, and there was a TSA note inside) So I’m not 100% sure the ‘Master Key’ stuff is true... I’ll still give it 4 stars since the lock itself was ok, just wanted to get my story out there.
