PAn Pastels are an excellent addition to any pastel artists inventory of art supplies. I did have a problem with the order and had to contact the owners of Pan Pastels and asked their help in receiving my order. It was sent, finally, a couple weeks after the due receiving date. But the pastels themselves are wonderful - less dust, the dust is a problem for me. I also think they are best used with regular hard and soft pastels. I have a lot of fun creating art with them, too. Love the spatula tools used with them, too.

These smooth, creamy, low dust chalk pigments are so easy to use. You can mix colors up before using or right on the paper or other surfaces. A bit on the expensive side but they do last along time!

I have many pan pastel colors but needed darks, love works no with them . They came really fast.

Using these strong pigmented pastels as an under-painting or covering large areas such as skies or meadows save the "tooth "so you are able to layer more and they are beautiful and less dust. A little pigment goes a long way. I love them.

Absolutely the best! They can be used with water. I bought the clear extender or Clear Blender as well.
