Ogodeal Force Touch Sensor Gasket Flex Cable for Apple Watch (1st Generation) and Series 1 38mm Repair

After reading all reviews, I tried this for myself. The kit came with the sensor and 2 adhesive strips. I cleaned the phone and the screen back extremely well. I put the adhesive strip on the phone then put the gasket on top of that. I let that sit for an hour or so. Then I use the other adhesive strip on the gasket and then pushed the screen down on that. I immediately put a heavy book on top to just give it some pressure to help hold the seal. I also replaced the battery because I believe it was expanded which made the screen pop off in the first place.Best I could tell, the gasket itself did not have adhesive pre applied. You have to use the adhesive strips that come with this kit.So far it's holding but it's only been a day.

I would give this zero stars if I could. What is the point of pre installing adhesive if it is nowhere strong enough to hold the screen in? I did clean my contacts. I even waited a few days, thinking maybe the adhesive would settle or dry or something but it didn't. Now I have to buy some glue and go back into my watch and fix it again. Really not looking forward to that. Very disappointed with this product. Do not recommend!Edit: Do not buy this product. It is garbage. If you for some reason end up getting this terrible product, do not follow their instructions by using supplemental "super glue." Regular super glue can easily mess the whole thing up. You will need special glue as the pre-installed adhesive will not suffice. That means you need to remove their pre-installed "adhesive" first if you want the product to actually work. Again, I would not at all recommend buying this. I would recommend getting a kit that includes the proper adhesive. I am just giving this advice to anyone who made the same mistake I did of using this. My watch is now completely inoperable because this item is not what it claims to be, and the limited instructions they provided led me to brick my watch with super glue after their adhesive didn't hold.

25-Oct-2019:My wife dropped her watch on the tile floor and destroyed the screen. I set out to replace the screen, the force touch sensor (this product), and the battery. Between the three replacement parts and the repair instructions I found on iFixit dot com, her watch is as good as new. It's only been 24 hours since I completed the repair and I'm a little apprehensive/anxious about the adhesive based on other reviews but only time will tell. If the watch comes apart I will update this review.1-Oct-2022 Update:The adhesive lasted just short of three years. I'm replacing the Force Touch Sensor again but getting it from a different manufacturer. Hopefully the new adhesive will last longer.

Nicely made but very hard to replace. Overall good product

Well I gave it 5 stars cuz I feel my end result was more because of my eyesight being rated at a 2 and I won't hammer them for my problems . I put the installing of this product up there with brain surgery but I had to try. Luckily my wallet is in better shape than my eyesight so my wife ended up with a new apple 6 watch . Problem solved and all is good again . Hope you have better luck with product if you try, you will need some .

It works OK but it has some quality issues as some reviewers mentioned. First, the pre-applied glue on the sensor is not good and strong enough. I had to purchase another glue and put it on. Second, it is a little thicker than the original sensor. So, you can feel some height difference between the screen and the frame after you attach the screen.

This kit replaces the Touch sensor part as I OEM final repair. Due the battery pack got swollen, the dail plate assembly is pushed from the watch frame, and that rips this Touch sensor from the 2 legs connectors.There is no need for any instructions as all can be found on You Tube. This kit is complete, just what you need to perform the job.

Worked great. I broke mine like a idiot when changing the battery. This was easier to install than hooking up the screen. The screwdriver fit perfectly. You should still get the black glue. None of this 3m tape sticks very well.
