I am a journey level Electrician and depend critically and regularly on my headlamps.I am often in the dark for brief and not so brief periods of time.I am just sick to no end how batteries are overpriced these days and I am fed up tired of it.Duracell can KICK SAND from now on because I am done with them.~FUNCTION AS PROMISED~I was looking for a seller who is technically responsible, honest , and accurate in the product listing.I looked carefully at many brands and styles before choosing this double deal. After sifting through the many brands and sellers and getting rid of the poor quality and poorly described ones, I chose "Smartlight Design Headlamps" mainly because of sleek simple compact and conservative design. I do not need mega lumens and I do not need bulky or complicated bells and whistles hanging off my forehead. Most of the day the light body is turned 180o on the back of my hat out of use, but when I need it I don't want hassle. And I do not need something big hanging off my head.I very much like the motion sensor! it is so convenient and effective.I am constantly blinding people while talking to them, this will make it easy to manage the issue without1# fumbling to find the on off button.2# prematurely wearing out the button.NOTE : The two side lenses on each side of the light emitting diode chip are motion sensors, not lights.I was wondering if the units were broken at first. But they are not. It is a great feature.I have put them to the test and the spot beam set up is fantastic.While creating plenty of ambient light which illuminates the general area, the spot light gives direct, conservative, yet effective focus on the critical area. The three brightness intensity settings make this especially versatile, not only for optimal usage, but for energy conserving which lessens charger dock intervals.The charging cord is only 18 inches . This at first seemed like a problem for me but it is high quality thick and durable wire cord none the less - not cheap, which out weighs any inconvenience of charge utility. I am sure it will not be a problem for any one. Besides the price is so affordable who would complain? Just buy a longer cord if you need one.The head band is high quality fabric , and is very user friendly for adjustment.The pivot stops (vertical adjustment) on the body bracket are very well designed as opposed to the poor quality I have come to expect from the big name brands. There is a long range of adjustment as well and the stops click smooth and sure. Not many things bother me more than cheaply designed and poorly manufactured tools, implements, and fixtures.Certain brand headlamps fail profoundly in this category.I have not used the headlamps long enough to give a discharge time or reliability rating.I will return with it when the time comes.I can say for now that not spending 20 dollars for batteries every two weeks will pay for these 4 times over if I was to toss them and buy new ones. The materials and design give me a feeling this will not be the case.

I bought this specifically to be able to read in bed.Having two in a kit will be nice as I can just use the 2nd one if the first needs charging. Speaking of, I wish the charging port was a Type-C port and not the micro or B kind as those generally suck and fail quicker. Not to mention Type-C doesn't have a "right way" to plug in so you can do so in the dark.BRIGHT! Whoever said these are perfect for nighttime reading must have really bad night vision because these things are so bright, so try not to disturb anyone sleeping in the same bed next to you. The good thing is the light is rather focused at close range so I'm able to keep reading without necessarily bringing the sun into the bedroom and lighting the entire room up! Even on the lowest setting (you can adjust to 3 different levels) it's pretty bright.I did not really test motion detection or the emergency function, so I won't comment on that.ADJUSTABLE AND COMFORTABLE: The strap is easy to adjust even for large heads like myself, and the lamp itself rotates on a hinge up and down so you can "aim" it to an extent to get the light to where you want it to go.OVERALL, this is a very comfortable light, it's bright, and does what I need it to do, which is let me read in bed at night.

Great tool! Bright as needed. Only downfall is the life of the battery charge but you have the 2nd one to use while charging the 1st one. It could be better, but for the price, you can't beat this item.

I bought these for running - Iv'e used a lot of headlamps over the years but usually end up losing or misplacing over time, so started purchasing the budget variations. Really liked the Streamlight Bandit with it's compact footprint and light weight - lost my last one of these, was looking for alternates and came across this and took a chance. Almost same dimensions as the Streamlight bandit, better battery life, better illumination. Given the small profile it doesn't bounce when running - recharging is great.
