Great book for getting you healthy
I adore Dr Eric Berg - this book really is the book to read if you want to follow a healthy ketogenic diet. One that is sustainable and will help you avoid the issues that an ordinary keto diet can give rise to. This book clearly explains how the body works, the fat burning hormones and the fat storage hormones. We are all different and some people can flourish more so than another person, this book uses your body type to explain how your body works and how the foods you eat and the stress you are under can seriously upset your hormones. The mis-information from our governments, health professionals and officials, that the public have been subjected to over the years has lead to an obesity crisis - and doctors that rely on this mis-information making us sicker. Dr Berg gives some really practical advice in a really accessible format. Highly recommend this book if you want to get healthy, understand your body and lose weight.

Getting healthy and keeping the weight off doesn't require $$$!
How I wish this were around 20 years ago. I would not have lost my gallbladder, fought against cholesterol, and lose morale over failed diets and New Year's Resolution. The answer to all my health concerns is SURPRISINGLY SIMPLE and this books gives you the answer. I even think the book is a bit long for the point it is trying to make or in sharing the secret to healthy living. However the reason for that is that Dr Berg makes sure there isn't a one-size-fits all approach. It is simple enough to grasp but not oversimplifed to leave out what is essential. After you read this you'll see how simple, logical, and actionable this is.

Pure witchcraft
I initially thought that this was hippy nonsense and wishful thinking. Currently, I feel a little silly as this has now transitioned to believing it to be obvious, basic, common sense.I have never been fitter, healthier or stronger. I most appreciate the cognitive improvements and everyone else is enjoying my calm and relaxed mood. Bets are being placed at work as to when I will regain the 26lb. I might choose to gain 26lb of lean body mass, I haven't decided yet. I will probably allow my body to decide how much muscle I need to thoroughly enjoy my chosen lifestyle - thank you Eric.

Very Useful Book
I bought the book as I like to have a hardback for quick reference, but I also bought the kindle version so I can read it more easily in bed and in other places. Unlike some others that have come out lately regarding the ketogenic style diet, this is very easy to read and digest (excuse the pun), without become boring or hard going. I do follow Eric Bergs youtube channel, which has a huge amount of information for various conditions, not just dieting. I have tried some of his simple remedies and found them to be extremely efficacious. A great example of this was my fathers toenail fungus which his Dr's prescribed treatment was not curing. Eric Berg suggested simple oregano oil, and to my amazement it is fixing the problem and new nail is now growing. I was very impressed with the results.Most of the books content can be found on his channel, but it is easier to have all the information in one place. If you struggle with diets and your general health like type 2 diabetes needing medication (which I "had"), this book is a superb starting point to better understand your body, how it works, and how to make if better. His solution is basic, simple and very easy to follow. I highly recommend giving it a read.1 star knocked off as there are no "colour" pictures which I felt was a poor show for the price of the book, and the kindle version is hard to see the pictures.

Ive read so many but this one made the difference
Ive read more 'how to eat' books than I can count but this one resonated - genuinely made me look differently at food and as a result quite dramatically change the meals I eat. Tough at first but stuck to it and dont think I will ever go back to eating starch again. Excellently educational and well worth a read.

Why don t doctors know all this?
This book contains all the informations you need to get healthy. It is very complete and I can see that by having perfect nutrition, you would basically heal the body. When I bought that book, I had been suffering from acid reflux, intensive cravings, severe hypoglycemia and an inability to sleep. Most of these symptoms appeared within the last year. I am 41 years old, not overweight but definitely sugar and carb addicted. Within a few days, my acid reflux decreased greatly, I started to be able to sleep again and started to loose my cravings after only 3 days on kale smoothies. Looking forward to the rest!
