Great Is Thy Faithfulness

I love the Our Daily Bread devotionals. What a great way to start or end a day.

This is a truly special daily devotional book in that it provides the sustaining Word of God we all need on a daily basis without overwhelming the reader with a long list of Scripture readings, questions and the devotion itself. Exactly the daily dose of encouraging food for thought and God's Word needed to jump start my day until I'm able to sit down to spend more time reading my Bible. Including my copy, I purchased a dozen of these devotionals to gift others who love it equally as much - as recently as early November 2017. The reason I was able to do this is because it was affordable at $5/copy. Sadly, this seller now lists it as out-of-print and other sellers now (early December 2017) have it listed on Amazon at just under $20/copy - the sellers are missing a bet on selling multiple copies of this treasure by making it too high for many to buy and share with others. I'm fairly certain the Author/authors would agree such a markup defeats the purpose of the book. I won't take away a star, as the devotional itself is worth 10 stars. But I do hope this post will cause the sellers to reconsider their asking price.

I'd love to have 100's of these to just give away. The devotionals in this book are OUTSTANDING and would touch anyone's life. They are chosen from the best of "Our Daily Bread" over the past several years...and they definitely picked the best ones. The soft leathery feel to the cover makes it a gift to cherish. I gave one to my dad for father's day because my aunt owns one and would call me every day to read me one of the devotionals that had touched her heart. Then my son bought one for his dad. Anyone that sees the book wants one or wants to give it to someone else.

I purchased this meditation book for my husband. I've noticed that he is using it each morning, which is a first.I have purchased Our Daily Bread devotionals in the past and I find myself choosing them first each morning. I love the way the writer shares a current day experience that relates to the scripture reading for the day.

I purchased this book for my daughter, so that she could have scripture to read before starting her work day. She has it on her desk at work, reads it each morning, and has found it to be spiritually uplifting!

a great book for a very special person,a grandson who has been thru a lot and well on the road to recovery now, praise the Lord!!

Wonderful devotional that I gave as a gift and that person is really enjoying it. I highly recommend.

How Great Is Thy Faithfulness

I am thrilled with my purchase. Great if you want to get some reading of the Word into your day but are short on time. A little bit of scripture, a devotional and you are left with a thought to ponder. Font is readable on white paper. The feel of the cover is very nice. Can be used by anyone, any age. A ribbon marker would have been nice but any other type of marker is good too. I would definitely recommend this for anyone whether a seasoned Christian or for someone just beginning their walk with the Lord.
