This replaces a spindle of the same brand that I put to work 3 years ago.. This new one seems to be better quality and the internal ground is connected. Also seems to be a little quieter than the last one was originally.

I ran it for the 3 hour break-in and it seems to work well. It's quiet. There's a slight vibration above 17,000, but nothing in this price range is any better, and probably many are not as good. It's properly grounded so that the Z-axis auto-tool-zero works like it is supposed to. After the 3-hour run-in period, it was warm to the touch, but not much at all. I've found that after the daily warm up period, it may be warm inside, but it's still room temperature on the outer shell. Endurance is the only question now.

Received it 25min ago, it's already hooked up and working on the next project. I can't speak for durability and longevity. BUT so far, this new spindle is WAAAAY quieter than the original one. The original vibrated so much the protective hood sounded like something was about to explode. Hook up took all of 10min. I just cut both ends and spliced into the existing wiring. The colored wires identified the same as the previous, so that's a win. I'm really excited to see how this thing lasts. The old spindle worked for about 11yrs until it finally locked up a few days ago- bearings broke apart, the coils were corroded, and the spindle thread cracked. This one seems much more well built than the original. I was expecting a $1000 fix but under $300... for this!? It's a thing of beauty when everything works out.

For the money it seems great, smooth and quiet. Run-out as advertised, properly grounded and comes with balanced collet nut but to what rpm idk.I did not disassemble the spindle to inspect for 4 bearings and ground connection. Was going to but it was very well sealed and didn't want to go through the trouble of re-sealing it. Used my multimeter to check ground and had perfect continuity.My only complaint would be the wire and connector, the wire its self is only good for bench testing, not shielded and not very long. The connector is functional but not the best I've seen so I just used my old connector.Would I buy again yes.

So far it’s working well. Very quiet and runs as advertised. The cable was half the length it needed to be so I had to splice on more wire. It would also be helpful to provide parameter settings for any type of VFD used (voltages, frequencies, ramp speeds etc.) I had to try different settings to get it working properly.
