Maltin Polar Non-Alcoholic Malt Beverage – Natural Cane Sugar Drink (24-Pack)

These are amazing!! Taste great

I’ve tried 2 brands of malt soda via Amazon, so far. All I can compare them to is my memories of Malta Goya. Maltin is very sweet. It’s the closest to Malta Goya in sweetness, but misses the maltiness. Maltin would be a great substitute for MG; if you’re a Pepsi over Coke person, you may prefer Maltin but if you’re the other way, you may prefer Vita Malt.

Back in 1980, I went TDY (temporary duty) to Meppen, Germany. While waiting for the equipment to arrive, we soldiers went around the local bars to taste the offerings. No, not to get drunk. Most bars in Germany have restaurants and children are welcome. Before arriving in Germany, I was told that the darker the beer, the more alcohol it had in it. So with my first dinner, I ordered a Pilsner beer, which is a light beer. The beer didn't affect me much so the next night I ordered an Alt beer. Strange taste, but I could easily handle it. On the third night, I ordered a Dunkel ("dark") beer. Absolutely delicious, but I didn't feel anything. So I ordered a second (usually only one beer per night for me) and still didn't feel anything. So I ordered a third beer and asked the waiter if he could bring the bottle as well. He did, and imagine my surprise when I saw on the label two kids playing leapfrog and the words "alcohol free" (translated)! The entire time I was there I ordered the dunkel beer because it was so delicious! (I don't like alcoholic drinks so I was glad to find the dunkel beer.) When it came time to return to the states, I hid a few cases in the equipment trailer (Army gear is never searched by customs), and enjoyed over 6 months of delicious dunkel beer. After it ran out, I started searching for it in the states and couldn't find it. I even tried on the internet when I got access in 1993. The search lasted 43 years until I told my daughter about it last year (2023). So she started a search and within a half hour found my dunkel beer, which I discovered wasn't really a beer but a malt beverage, which is why I couldn't find it! I ordered some from various suppliers through Amazon but it was difficult because it was either so expensive ($6 a can???) or the store would run out and wouldn't restock. Then a couple months ago (Nov 2023) I discovered Maltín Polar with real sugar for not much more than a case of Coke. And it can be ordered through a subscription! So now I order two cases every 6 weeks (free shipping) and I can have all the dunkel beer I want!

Maltín Polar has the perfect flavor — rich, smooth, and naturally sweet from cane sugar. It’s refreshing and tastes just like back home! The 24-pack arrived in excellent condition, and every bottle was perfectly sealed. Highly recommended!
