I recently installed the Govee 6-inch recessed lights in my home, and I am absolutely blown away by them. The entire experience, from unboxing to the final setup, was incredibly straightforward. The installation process was far simpler than I anticipated. The lights are designed with a snap-in connector, which meant I didn't have to deal with any complicated wiring. I simply connected the provided wire nuts to my existing wiring, then plugged the light fixture directly into the junction box. The entire process for each light took me less than ten minutes. The lights also come with strong spring clips that hold them securely in the ceiling without any wobbling. Once the lights were in, the real fun began. The Govee app makes controlling the lights effortless. I can easily adjust the brightness, color temperature, and choose from a seemingly endless array of colors. The lights are also incredibly vibrant and can be dimmed to a very low level without any flickering, which is perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere. I also love the different dynamic scene modes that cycle through colors, making it easy to set the mood for a party or just add a little excitement to a room. I was looking at the local hardware stores for some recessed lighting options, and everything was just so mundane and boring. Then I thought about Govee and all the other Govee LEDs I already had at home and wondered if they had any recessed lighting options, and they sure did. And actually the same or slightly cheaper than the ones at the store. And obviously being Govee, I knew they would have a lot more flexibility and options. The install was easy, they give you everything you need, even push in wire connectors, although I used my own Wago connectors. I bought a 6 + 3/8” recessed lighting hole saw kit for the ceiling, and while it did work, I would say that you should probably just use a 6” one because the one that I used made the holes a bit too big and the Govee lights barely cover the whole thing. Of course the Govee app is great. The brightness is good if you use the illumination mode, and you can choose the Kelvin of the white. Also never had any issues using Google Voice commands with Govee products either. Overall, a great idea for recessed lighting if you’re bored of the same old stuff from your local hardware store.

Love Govee, the quality is light out( excuse the pun) super easy to install. The App control is great, I have it paired with my alexa for voice control all over my house you can change the colors to theme your movie or party night.

I installed these in our living room and wow, what a game changer. We have GOVEE smart lights on the outside of the house and the wife was hesitant to put them inside as well. Well after installing them she has seen light - literally. Interfacing with Alexa is amazing as you set the color temperature and brightness levels from your own couch without the need for the Govee app. The Govee app is nice too. We used it to set up lighting for movie night and used it to make a Halloween light show inside the house for when the trick-or-treaters came to our door. I took off one star because they did not install flat in the sections of our ceiling where there were floor joists. They stuck down about a 1/4" and required some creative wood working to make them fit flush to the ceiling. Other than that, installation was breeze and setting them up couldn't have been easier.

Installed eight of these in my living room and they’re a huge improvement over the single lamp I had before. Easy to install, easy to setup. I have not done a ceiling install prior to this one. Colors are good, run them as white primarily.

I love these. The color is unmatched! The directions made assembly very easy. I am surprised how well they work with the app. They dim easily with the app and are also energy efficiency because of the auto off ability in the app. I believe the durability of this product will hold up in my busy basement.

Lights work great and on high setting are very bright. I was concerned that some reviews said the lights are not the color whenever they are turned off then on, but tp fix this, when connecting the lights create a group for the lights you want to be the same and they will all remain the same color as long as they are in the same group. They will even synced to whatever them you choose. Pretty cool.
