These lights are perfect for the garage. With outlets located mostly on walls, and only in a couple of places overhead, primarily for the garage door openers, being able to link these lights is very helpful. The lights are really bright, and because they can be linked, it is possible to eliminate almost all the shadows in the garage. Since they draw very little current, there is no concern about overloading a circuit, even when linking the lights. The lights can be hung from wire hooks, chain, or flush fit by sheetrock anchors, or simply screwing into joists. I use the flush fit so I can install the lights above the garage doors, allowing the garage doors to open and close without hitting a hanging light fixture. Of course, I only use the lights over the garage doors when the garage doors are closed. When installing flush fit screws, the space must be exact; close doesn't count. The lights have "keyhole" mounts and the screw heads must align perfectly, otherwise you can't get the screw heads into the opening on the backside of the light. Also, it takes experimentation as to exactly how much clearance between the screw head and the sheetrock is required for a tight flush fit, so any future vibration won't allow the light to slip loose.

The lights are nice and bright, and easy to install. They are meeting my need very well.

I bought two to use in my attic. They are linkable, but I think most people haven't explained, that if you connect these to an outlet that's controlled by a light switch, you can switch them on, then just use the wall switch to turn them on and off since whatever position you have the lights pull switch set, (on or off) it will stay in that position. Plug them in to an outlet, switch them all on, use the wall switch from now on to turn them on and off. Pretty good brightness, light spread is also good. These are very light, made mostly of plastic. So yes, they are cheaper for a reason. NON REPLACABLE lights. Be sure you know that. So the light needs to be replaced if it fails. But at this price, in an attic where they wont be used everyday, worth it. If you need a shop light for everyday use, maybe not these. DRAWBACK: I didn't realize that these are only rated for max temperatures of 104°, an attic is probaly not the best application for these. So they may not last. We'll see. LONGEVITY: I really can't say how long they will hold up. Maybe after the summer. Both lit up and worked fine the whole time I had them on while working in my attic. Maybe 3 hours constant lighting. Ill update further after some time.

Light is good and bright for work areas like my laundry room. Non-replaceable bulbs, but price is right.

These lights are great. They were easy to mount on the ceiling of my garage using the hardware supplied, and they work as descriibed in the product description. The switch pull-chain is only about 8 inches long, so I had to add a couple feet of cord with a small sea shell on the bottom for decoration. Everything works well.

Surprised how lightweight and bright these lights are. I use them in a basement area replacing noisy fluorescent shop lights. They are silent and showed me how lax in my cleaning I had apparently been. Very satisfied.
