Beautiful little light!
Beautiful little light! This schoolhouse light replaced a horrible, too bright, integrated LED light that was previously installed. Looks great in the space and I couldn't be more happy with the result! That being said, installation was challenging- you have to switch to the universal mounting plate unless you already have one (holes are lined up different than standard older ones, and you will probably need longer fine-threaded mounting screws than the 1 1/4" ones that are included- maybe get 1 3/4" or longer if your box is recessed in the ceiling. Also, to make the glass shade more secure, cut down those 1 1/4" screws with bolt cutters (sand down the cut edge) and use them with the cap nuts that are included because the included threaded pieces they have with the light will not secure the glass shade properly. All in all- happy with purchase, but be prepared to do some modifications to install. Looks just like the photo- having trouble uploading photos, will try later.

Great purchase
These are substantial. The metal base could be a bit thicker but once installed its not an issue these look very high end and the glass is thick and heavy. I love these thoughts and bought 10 of them to use all throughout my home.

Timeless & beautiful, but a pain to install
I ordered 3 of these lights for our upstairs hallway. I absolutely LOVE the way they look now that they are installed, BUT they were VERY tricky to hang. After finally figuring out how to assemble them, the first one went up semi-easily. The next 2 were a nightmare. The screws were too short that are used to mount the fixture to the ceiling. I went to Lowe's to get the next size up (metric, btw) and they were too long. I ended up finding what I needed at a local hardware store. I am 100% pleased with how it all turned out and plan to purchase 3 more for downstairs, but it's going to take me awhile to get over the headache of installing these.

Love the look
I love the design of these, however it could have been improved with an extra screw for stability of the glass outside into the fixture. They constantly rattle when our kids are running through the house or we're walking above them on the second story. Perhaps some type of a rubber gasket similar to a water bottle on the interior of the fixture where the glass meets the metal ceiling mount would help reduce that rattling as well. Otherwise, we love the look of these.

Install not worth it
Was going to buy several to put throughout my house. Assembly and installation was more time consuming than I expected so I am glad I only ordered one initially. Won’t be buying any more. Looks good, nicely packaged, but installation is a nightmare.
