Q: How tall is the pin that the weights sit on? In other words, how many inches thick can I stack the weights?

The pin is about a foot tall at 1” and includes a sleeve to accommodate 2” weights. Since it’s a single pulley the mechanical advantage isnt high. I have a stack of 1” plates, it’ll hold 12 of them and works fine for my purpose.

Q: Is anyone else noticing that the cable for connection mode 6 isnt long enough? I cant figure out how to get this to work.

It is long enough. I thought the same thing at first. The best advice I can give is, go on YouTube. Research a few how to videos on the set up. You will see one of those videos that will show you how it needs to go.

Q: Has anyone done 200lbs lat pulldowns successfully, without the cable breaking?

Yes, I've put over 200lbs on it at times but I use it more for push downs with lighter weight, so don't know over time how it will wear with 200lbs weight being used. It's rated for over 300lbs (Upgrade steel loading pin, max weight load of 330 lb).
