A Guide to Navigating the Storm od Co-Parenting; including parental alienation
This great book offers a comprehensive guide for navigating the complexities of post-divorce parenting. A standout feature is its insightful exploration of parental alienation, a toxic dynamic often overlooked in such discussions. The book provides practical tools and strategies to protect children from this harmful behavior that results in mild alienation, empowering parents to foster healthy relationships and resilient kids. However, for severe parental alienation, find books with "parental alienation' in the title and include books with information on how to present your case to the courts to protect your children. For more books on parental alienation, see this wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1NC8GYD2NCP9P?ref_=wl_share

If Co-Parents were Flexible ...
As others have mentioned, this handbook will work best for those whose co-parent is flexible and reasonable. Most of the advice and example scenarios are presented as if both parents would be willing to work together for the sake of the kids, but sadly, based on most of the situations I have encountered in real life, this is not always the case. This book will also be most helpful for those couples who are in the midst of separation as there are many helpful chapters for this time period and the first few years. It will also be most helpful for the biological parents who separated rather than any step-parents involved.

Very important book!
As a family therapist who often works with divorcing couples, I find this book to be invaluable addition to my work. Karen Bonnell is articulate and brilliant. I have purchased so many copies of this book to give to struggling parents I work with who are navigating this difficult time. Many with distracted thinking and raw hearts. So helpful to have this book reinforce my lessons in our parent counseling sessions.

Very insightful
If you’re going through a separation or divorce, or are considering doing so this book offers valuable advice on what parents and children may go through. Both sides of the couple are represented, kids of all ages are considered, and it’s an easy read. I skipped chapters or sections that didn’t apply to my situation. It’s peovided me with new perspectives as a parent and person working through divorce with kids.

True and faithful guidance
Thank goodness for Karen and her commitment to educating us all on the importance of a healthy co parenting relationship, it's impact on our children and how to get there from here. She has been my personal mentor for over 20 years and I would literally not be who I am as a parent today without her wisdom and support. Love you Karen!!
