very nice clock! totally silent, which is what I was looking for. the 'clouds' are a white sponge paint on blue plastic, but up on the wall it's less noticeable. It's a nice texture effect but I do wish a little more effort was put into the finishing. Overall, lovely job by Bulova

We like having clocks available wherever we are in our home, that includes the bathroom. The clock we've had in our bathroom had been there for a number of years. When the batteries needed changing recently I noted evidence that the higher humidity that bathrooms can experience was starting to cause corrosion of the battery terminals (and perhaps inside the closed quartz clockworks?). So after some research I found this Bulova brand wall clock that was advertised as being okay to use in bathrooms (wet or humid environments), saying the clock was "sealed" to protect it. We liked how it looked, including the color (we had our bathroom remodeled a while ago, using "Corian" brand solid surface material on all 4 walls so we wouldn't have to be concerned about painting or dampness. The shower stall walls were done in a "granite" look, while the rest of the bathroom was finished in sky blue, with hints of wispy clouds throughout. This blue Bulova turned out to be perfect for our bath decor. The ad copy for the clock was true, the face of the clock is finished with glass sealed around the edge with a gasket (rubber?), while the back of the clock has a cover over the clock mechanism that also seals with a large rubber-like gasket. This cover "screws" on-and-off in order to change batteries and set the time. Over all this clock is handsome, seems very well made and like most quartz clocks, it keeps good time. It's also very easy to read, no matter how tired you are, what time of day it is or the ambient light level. All of this is important to us as we're getting up there in years. This was a great choice and we cannot recommend it enough!
