Streit's Matzo Ball and Soup Mix, 4.5 oz

Makes wonderful matzoh balls. Be sure to let "set" as per directions.

This matzo soup tastes good but it is extremely filled with salt. I would advice eating a 1/2 a cup of it and eat during the week as a snack.

Used the soup mix (4 boxes) for our Passover Seder. We found it the best soup ever. Our brand from now on.Delivery was great too.

I love this matzo ball and soup mix. Each box contains 2 packets of seasoned matzo ball mix and powdered soup stock, which makes 12 large matzo balls and stock. The stock is a little salty, which is typical for powdered stocks, but is quite flavourful if salt is not a problem for you. You could substitute the powdered stock with a reduced sodium stock, if necessary. To make large, light, fluffy matzo balls from this mix, I separate the egg whites from the yolks and whip the egg whites until frothy, then gently fold the whites in with the remaining ingredients. I then refrigerate the mix for 30 minutes to an hour before forming and cooking the matzo balls. I really like this brand and am grateful that I can buy this on Amazon.

I have looked for this item for quite some time as it's not available in the city that I live in. I was absolutely thrilled to find it online.It arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. I will definately be ordering again when more is needed.
