An AMAZING value & Tool for professionals....
Folks, I've been a professional heavy equipment technician for 35 years now. The location I'm at now has a Class 8 truck/ trailer fleet of 150 units, 8 to 10 wheels each. I've used one of these IR 285B-6 daily for the last eight years now and it hasn't missed a beat, EVER. Class 8 OEM's spec wheel nut torque at 450 lb ft. At our Fortune 50 company we check torque EVERY TIME we reinstall wheels. Using a 1/2" I.D. hose @ 100 psi shop air this impact doesn't even breathe hard to make 500 lb ft of torque tightening lug nuts and boasts triple that torque in reverse. Ingersol Rand is the "Mack Truck" of pneumatic tools. Don't give this wise purchase a second thought, I didn't. I bought this one for myself. The shop impact is still going strong 10+ years later. You decide. There is NO REASON to spend $1000+ for a brand name 1" drive impact. This is a STEAL at $400. A "NO BRAINER!!!"

Getting the job done!
Had orginally bought one of these things at Harbor Freight Tools (cheapy -off brand). But when I saw this online for only $100 bucks more it was a no brainer. I returned the old one and got this. My crew loves this thing. It gets the job done! You can tell that this tool is made to last, of good quality! It's well worth it.

Its powerful and comfortable but the friction ring was too tight and it ended up bending and became a headache to get another friction ring. But works good besides that

Seems like a good air wrench
Works and looks great, seems more powerful than my old Ingersoll Rand. Time will tell if it lasts. Made in China!

Make sure you have a 1" line and air compressor to keep up.
Great if you have a big air compressor that can keep up with the gun. I work in the field alot and have a van air with a one inch line and the air compressor can't keep up with gun. So if your in the mobile tech position just have that in mind.

For the money its best deal I know of..got decent power and and is durable..have used the guns for years at several different shops..and the average use time is around four years for heavy commercial abuse..
