Fun game
Play this with my 9 year old daughter. We loved it, setup was easy. Game didn't take to long. Easy game play but still fun.

Fun!
I played this game with two of my friends and it took a couple rounds to get the hang of it (and we're all in our 30s!). We ended up finding a youtube video to explain the rules since the written instructions were overwhelming. It's a fun game and can get competitive which we liked. Definitely will be playing this again next time we hang out.

Great and entertaining card game with good-quality cards
This is a great and entertaining game. The box is high quality and the cards are thick and high quality as well plus they have a fine finish. The art is decent and can make the game more appealing for kids. The game is a deck-building style game, in which you are trying to complete three dishes (based on the recipes available on the menu cards) faster than your opponents.Game play:There are different types of cards in the deck, ingredients/equipment, toppings, money cards and action cards. On your turn, you draw up to two cards and can play up to three cards from your hand (the numbers could be modified using some of the action cards). You must match the equipment and ingredient cards according to the specific dishes on the menu to finish three dishes before your opponents. Action cards are played to do different things such as drawing more cards, playing more cards, swapping or stealing cards from your opponents and forcing them to pay the value or the modified value of one of your dishes to you. The toppings add to the value of the dish and you can take money from your opponents based on that value, but they are not necessary to finish a dish. Different toppings and ingredients can only go with specific dishes which are specified on the menu card and to be more convenient, they are mentioned on each card as well. The game is super easy to learn, and the manual does a good job in explaining everything with illustrative examples. They have a video that summarizes the rules in an easy way. You can probably learn how to play the game in 5 minutes, max. The playing time varies a lot depending on the situation and also the number of players. We had games as short as 10 minutes and games that we went through the entire deck to know the winner. The game is generally very simple but could involve some strategies about when to play your cards to minimize the chance of your opponents stealing them and finishing the game before you lol.Overall, the game is fun, especially for kids. It is a great deal as well for this current price ($15.99) since card games with a quality like this roll for at least $20 these days. I would recommend it as both a family game and more of a competitive game for adults.

Little Master Chef card game
My sister and I played this together first, we’re both in our early 40s, and the initial “figuring out how to play the game” was overly complicated. The instruction booklet had a lot of information on how to play the game but it left us with a few questions that we had to figure out as we went.It only takes a couple rounds to really get the hang of it and then it’s really incredibly easy to play. We liked it well enough to play more, but not as often as some of our favorites. My youngest daughter enjoyed it quite a bit though, so I’ll definitely be playing with her for some quality one on one time. The game itself was really cute and the cards were well drawn and eye-catching but the cards themselves were a little too slippery. The box and storage are well done.

Maybe a little challenging for 8 year olds at first.
This game is for 8 year olds and up. I bought this for my grand kids when I see them this summer. One will be 7 yrs and the other a few months short of 9 years. My husband and I tried out the game a few times. We found it to be fun but I think it will be a little complicated for the grand kids. The 9 year old might get it, but honestly, we are in our mid 60's and had to read through the instructions several times and refer back occasionally. Part of the problem is that the instruction book has fine print and I have poor eyesight and was reading everything to my husband. I want to keep playing because it is getting more fun as we learn the game. I like that it is a more challenging than some of the popular card games we've played. The cards are nice and heavy, not cheap, they are bright and the pictures are cute. They try to make things easier with the important information on each card. I do think that perhaps since 5 people can play this game, they should have 5 separate menus instead of 2 to share. My husband and I thought it was funny that the hamburger recipe includes a bun, ham, lettuce, cheese and frying pan. Ham?

Shuffle the cards WELL before playing
This is a simple set collection game with a random deck that has cards that give you various ingredients and abilities.Basically you are trying to construct food, collect "royalties" or steal from other players (money and ingredients) and use get money and defensive cards (insurance) to prevent someone taking your ingredients. It's a pretty random game. I don't like that the ingredients do not list the all ingredients needed to complete a recipe, and the royalties and money is a tad complex for the target age (you pay money, if you don't have money, you pay with ingredients). The game gets 5 stars for the outstanding component quality. The rules are vague but you don't want too many rules on a game of this depth. Be sure to shuffle the cards WELL or you might get nothing but royalties, steal, etc cards in the first few hands, and that wouldn't be fun.

SO frustrating!
I guess if you get the hand of this game, it could be fun, but I've searched for videos online and read reviews and I just cannot understand how to play. I have a 5-year-old I wanted to play this with and it's just a lot. After a few days of me still not figuring out exactly how to play and my daughter begging me to play this, we just played our own way and took out a lot of the extra action and money cards and we just made the recipes and played some action cards.I could see where it would be fun with older kids but I'm in my 30's and it was so frustrating for me to figure out how to play so still I'd say just try to read up on it. I heard it's like a monopoly card game, so I do understand why it was confusing to get down.
