How long does the steam eye mask take to heat?

I.thougt they were suppose to start heating as you opened them.After 3 w absolutely NO warmth I put one it the microwave on 1 min.but took out at about 15 sec. It was smoking!! And No Stem at All. In my opinion these could be dangerous..threw out the rest!

Which scent is best? Torn between lavender, rosé & chamomile

I love the chamomile. The lavender smells like baby powder to me.

how heat is generated, is there a chemical in the pad that gets activated after exposure to air? like some muscular pain patches. how safe is this?

There is a sheet heating pad in the layering of the mask. I do not believe there are chemicals but I would suggest you write to the makers. I haven't had any problems with it not being safe.

Can I take this steam eye mask to air?
