Well fitted and working as it intended for microwave

I considered ordering an led version, but in the end I figured that it isn't used a whole lot. Just when you open the microwave door to see what you're cooking for a few seconds. So I bought this. The incandescent version that your old microwave probably came with (if it's as old as mine). The manufacturer does not recommend for you to change your own bulb. If you aren't confident around electrical appliances, perhaps don't attempt it, and I am not encouraging you to do so - at your own peril! But... I found it a fairly straightforward process. You have to take off a lot of screws, at least a dozen to access the bulb, then it's a straightforward swap and reassembly. WARNING - the metal panels inside the microwave are like razors. I cut myself about three times right on the joints of my fingers every time and it was quite painful for a few days. Wear gloves!! The light is slightly dimmer than the original bulb - 20w vs 25w, but that's ok. My microwave now has a light again and i saved another appliance from the landfill hell that we are all contributing to! Have a good day!

Successfully replaced the bulb in our Swan microwave no problem whatsoever. This is the whole unit so the bulb and the holder together.

Identical to the oiginal and easy to fit.
